As the title asks...
I have a Grey Co. / Arnor army and am weighing up a few ideas as to best utilise my current minis....
I have numerous army of the dead minis and the king how do these fare in SBG? Would you bother with them?

AotD, yes, if you knwo how to field them, don't take too many, don't use in low pts games, and make sure you know what to ally them to, eg Minas Tirith.

The King's lack of might makes him a major letdown, but he's still useable. what with his wounding rule.

Well, the order thing is that the warriors are very expensive points wise, and the riders are very expensive £s wise

The king of the dead is the ultimate hero chopper downer, as he treats all models as one wound models, but, with only 1 attack, if he is swarmed by infantry, he could easily be killed in one turn and he has no might to help him if he rolls badly.

Never played with the kotd or the wotd, just this is what I gather from looking at their profiles

Arnor is a good ally for Aotd IMO, their units are reasnably priced. Grey Company style army or regular one, but regualr one would be better.

Make sure you give your AotD shields.

They're a lot better in SBG than in WotR point for point. In WotR they could end up striking against Wraiths courage 5 instead of Morannon's courage 2. Not so in SBG. They're great against Morannons in SBg.

Try them out if you like. 8)

4 or 5 KotD?? Why do you "over collectors" always live so far away.

I agree that in mid to high point SBG games an AotD ally can be effective. Either in actual combat or to scare (pun intended) and distract your opponent. I don't have Kingdoms of Men but when I looked at the copy my friend has I think they added wargear options to the AotD. Really? Wargear for ghosts? If that's accurate, then for me at least that really takes away something from the AotD force.

Every model has a shoot value now even beasts like Wild Wargs and Giant Spiders which aren't even physically capable of using a bow.

They have the value because there is the option to allow the pick up equipment rule. But you have to agree with your opponent before you play.

Since when could a Wild Warg pick up a bow?

It isn't a man sized model and is thus void from that rule.
