Heres some apare WOMT i had lying around which I hope will spare me spending money on actual Warriors of arnor!!!!
IVe only started with two conversions to see how they turn out!
Ive removed the armoured "skirt" and rplaced with GS chainmail, filed off the pattern on helmet, breastplate and shield.
Then added the headbands in GS.
Ill probably try freehand design to shield but im not sure yet.

Let me know what you guys think and also would I be ok using these in official GW games?

They look really promising. I think they will look very similar to the ones that you buy from GW, and you will get sword and bows if you do an entire batch \o/

The one problem I got with the GW Arnor warriors is that I imagine they would look more like a blend between Númenor warriors and WoMT and still carry the White Tree on their shields. But that is just my take, yours look awesome and have insipried me to might try to do some converting on my own =)

Thanks mate, I agree am not a massive fan of how GW sculpted them but am trying to stay as true to their interpretation as possible.

Same as! Was going to do the same, although not have the cloth around the heads. Cheaper than metal WoA and will look better me'thinks!

You going with the games workshop "green" scheme for Arnor Ste, or something more Tolkien?

Black for Arnor indeed, its kingdom was crushed. Very nice conversions, your wallet will be thanking you :) .

I never realized why GW Warriors of Arnour wear turbans? They live in a colder climate and their attire should represent that.

So here we go.......
I am actually really happy with these and would go as far as to say a couple of the poses are far better than the actual Warriors of Arnor models themselves!

Got a couple of hours to choose colours as ill be painting these tonight!!

I never was a fan of the turban-ish helmets that GW made for them and I have no idea why they did that, since I havent read anything like that in Tolkiens works.. maybe something for the people of the east.. but I digress. :D

I am always a fan of how simple conversions can completely change the look of models and wow.. you certainly did a great job!

He has done a great job!

I'll be doing the same conversion, with the single 5 pointed white star of Earendil on the shields, black cloth/shield and no cloth around the helmet, but instead make the helmet more like Halbarad's and the Rangers of the North helmets...

I would do this, but it's even more expensive to do than buying the gw figures as I could only use 4 of the 12 figures as they have to have spears

In fact probably I could use 8 as the spears won't be a problem. It will be the shields
