This is currently my army I plan on making, I have everything but the horn blower and the heroes of helms deep box i'm getting soon.

1x Galadhrim Guard (Haldir's Standard Banner Bearer) w/ Banner
2x Galadhrim Guard (Haldir's Elves/ Galadhrim Commanders) w/ Elf Bow (one also has a war horn)

Galadhrim Captain (Haldir's Elves) w/ Bow
4x Galadhrim warriors w/ Elf Bow
4x Galadhrim warriors w/ Elven Blade
4x Galadhrim warriors w/ Spear and Shield

Galadhrim Captain (Haldir's Elves) w/ Bow
4x Galadhrim warrior w/ Elf Bow
4x Galadhrim warrior w/ Elven Blade
4x Galadhrim warrior w/ Spear and Shield

I think it's ok but I plan on allying some Rivendell Knights (about 12 with Elrond mounted (The Hobbit Version in Armour) and also maybe a monster like an Ent, Treebeard or an Eagle.

Any tips or recommendations will be great

The current point limit is a bit random, what points games will you be playing with this army?

This is very similar to my army although i have Legolas in there and do not currently have GotGC, which i am hoping to get soon. Also i do not have the banner and war horn, i wanted to max out in numbers as much as i could with Elves struggling for numbers at the best of times.

I wanted to bring in an eagle and bought the new box set, but its frustrating that someone like Radagast cant lead them, you need one of the wanderers heroes which doesn't fit very well with my theme except gwaihir which is too expensive for my taste.

But the list looks fine to me, i tend not to put shields on my spears, seems pointless to me as they will be behind the lower defence models, i have converted my front-line to remove the elven blades leaving just hand weapon and shield, then have spearmen supporting those.

Well, while this use to be a smart thing to do, now that elven blades let you win a draw on a 3,4,5 or 6 instead of the regular 4-6, i'd actually recommend keeping them.

But i had to choose between those and shields as they can't be used two-handed with the shield and the +1 D edged it in the end, it was a tough decision.

Oh and i was just looking at the old sourcebooks last night, I just assumed the Hobbit book read the same, i will read it when i get home, now that's music to my ears, helped my army list no end!!

hmm i'll have to reconsider

Galadhrim guard can only take banners in addition to their regular equipment.
So no war horns for them or bows, you'll have to use regular galadhrim for that.

I think that's just what he called them, because in brackets they are "Haldir's Elves", they aren't actually Guards of the Galadhrim Court.

Or is he just using the old metal Haldir's elves to represent Guards, that is what i assumed.
