A model CAN fight.
A model moves to charge an opponent. During his charge (stated as 1 inch away from target), he may choose to throw his throwing weapon, and the hit is worked out using the normal shooting mechanics. If the intended target is killed, the model charges any other opponent within range of his remaining move distance. If it is not killed, the target is charged as normal.
Instead of throwing during the move, the model may also, if he does not end up in combat at the end of the movement phase, throw the weapon during the shoot phase. If he has already charged and killed an opponent using the weapon in the move phase, but was not able to charge an additional opponent, he may NOT throw the weapon again in the same turns shoot phase.
