Hey there i am starting a Galadhrim army (hopefully going to add in Gwaihir and the Great Eagles eventually). But i am wondering what you guys would recommend basing-wise.

I have a bag of green flock so that would be where i will start but a plain green flock wouldn't suit them too well being forest dwellers.

Would a green flock / dirt (sand painted brown) mix with tufts of dried grass be okay? If so has anyone got any examples please?

Hi,
A base of sand and maybe.. a branche from green stuff. Painted and then a tuft of static grass and some natural (spring picked) dried leaves, crushed. Gives it really the forest fee! And you could also, if you really want stand out and shine, add some miniature musshrooms and paint them a dark or a light brown, red or yellow, and if you do that, you can maybe even add some miniature flowers for texture (better to paint them too).
Maybe this is too much in the beginning, but you can always start with the sand and tufts of grass and crushed, dried leaves.
I hope this will help you in your basing!

May the Valar be with you!

Turwaitheon, elf from Mirkwood.
