Very good work! This is the sort of sculpting I started doing before going pro!
Only feedback I can really give is less is quite often more. The subtle changes are the best ones. Also, really consider your anatomy, the arm you sculpted for Gandalf is wonderful, but a little long. You'll only really notice if you are into your anatomy for sculpting.
A good one for checking a pose is correct is to make it into a silhouette. Hold it up against a light and see if the pose looks 'right'.
Hope that helps!
Thank you very much for the detailed feedback, goblin_king! I really appreciate you taking the time to give me some advice!
Gandalf's sculpted arm is actually the same length as his other one, I checked with a piece of string whilst I was converting him as I was unsure, too. Maybe the angle in the photos makes it look a bit too long... However, the trick with the silhouette helped me a lot today, when I sculpted a new arm for Bombur (pics to follow soon), so thanks for that!

I'm really liking these a lot! That's my biggest problem; I'm just in the middle of painting a whack of Gondor elites and this thread makes me want to fiddle with Thorin and Co.
Sorry Lord Hurin! But I'm sure Thorin and his dwarven friends will still be there once you've finished Gondor

Great job! All those new poses are really cool, I like Dwalin the best. Keep up the good work!
I like Dwalin, too! Although my take on Bombur 'takes the biscuit'...
EDIT: Whoops, forgot to link my pics:
Thorin's finished now:
His skin isn't as tanned as it looks in those pics and I'm pretty happy with the way he turned out, especially his oak-shield.
