Seeing the new rules for monsters inspired me to paint up my great eagle I received from Lord Hurin in a trade months ago.

First WIP Pic. Still lots of work to do but no rush.

Awesome work, my friend! Looks a lot better here than he would sitting in his box, which is where he'd be if I hadn't traded him to you. Glad you like him. :)

Due to the freezing weather here in the UK, I havent been able to prime any models with spray paint (garage is around 5 degrees C  ) Here is my prime backlog.

Image

Little project I've been working on - some warg maruders for my goblin army. Got 3-4 left to do now.

Image

And just because it is cool, I ordered this about a month ago off the onering.net site.

Image

Hopefully it'll warm up enough soon so I can get priming and painting.

I feel your pain as I've had to put a hold on my bases due to the low temp.
The Wargs look top and much much better then the GW model.

Time for an update. Been making a push with my Gondor to get enough painted for my game with Leonardis today. As of now, just need to finish the fountain guard.

The first company idea was inspired by the Battlehosts book and the Tower of Ecthelion host. The shields tend to take the longest.

You say it took a while to get the shields right, but boy was it worth it! I might use that gold and white for my Guard of the Fountain Court

I like the blue as well, especially on Faramir. It's always nice to see alternative colour schemes, I tried blue Gondorians myself a few years ago.

And I see a Goblin King lurking in the background! :-D

Decided to get the cheaper mini captains but wanted to make them different so gave 2 custom bases. The one on the right is on Lelith Hesperax's bases.

A quick wip shot of all the goblins I need to get painted for the feb ToS. 48 in this picture plus the Great Goblin, Grinnah and 2 of the above captains.

Got them all basecoated with the flesh and about half have had their cloth basecoated aswell.

Update: I scrapped my goblin army for the time being, couldnt face painting all that rakarth flesh. Now turned my attentions to Mordor and the pink orcs  Hopefully should have the rest of them done by the end of this month

As with everything, when something urgent needs doing, I do something else :o I present Oin (and a few WIP of galadhrim knights)

Galadhrim Knight - Horses will eventually be white. Building up to that.

The colours on Oin look really well done, as does that eagle. :yay:

I live not far from you I think yet I managed to spraypaint some models outside.
