My friend just bought the digital version of the new White Dwarf. There is a Hobbit battle report listing new Heroic Actions and new Monster actions for trolls. Ant have any details on this?

As far as I remember, Heroic march gives 3" extra movement. The WD doesnt explain the other actions...

I believe there will be new monster actions for Goblin King, Trolls etc, and wouldn't be surprised if good heroes got some new rules too. I haven't seen the December WD, but I guess some of these rules could be like old ones renamed or slightly reworked for the 'new' game. However, as far as I know the main body of rules will be the same as ever, with Hobbit armies being compatible with LOTR ones. I heard the new rule book stresses that LOTR is not forgotten, though someone may be able to correct me on this...

I heard there is an additional action heroes can now take. Trolls and such get a "smash" and a "grab/throw" action.

I think one of the new heroic actions allows you to boost your Fight score temporarily. This might be a nice counter to a warrior-hurling troll...

The 4 new heroic action are - Heroic channeling, Heroic Accuracy, Heroic Strike and Heroic March.

Heroic Channeling - Allows you to cast more powerful spells
Heroic Accuracy - Useful in shooting phase, the White Dwarf says it could allow you to take out a hidden Goblin at range.
Heroic Strike - Gives characters a boost in combat.
Heroic March - helps get u out of the action - 3inch extra move distance

While it doesn't sound bad, it does sound like alot of new rules that seem kind of... obsolete. It's fun to have new tactical options, but the old ones were enough for me. :p I'm not complaining though!

Will someone be reviewing the new rules when they get a chance to look at the product this weekend? I'm interested to see what changes have been made to the rules, but I won't be getting my copy of Escape from Goblin Town until probably Christmas.
