Those are some nice looking Blackshields. The blue you've chosen along with the white furs makes for an eye-catching combination.

hmm...maybe I should update this. Here is my WIP KotWT i've been working on. Wanted to do a white cloak. Turned out OK, was looking a lot worse before the skull white layers.

A little side project now - picked this badboy up for £22.50 BNIB from my local hobby store.
Must give credit to DMS/ Kev for the colour scheme and advise for the wings. I think they turned out great.

Yep - a great effort, I can't fault it at all. I must admit when you stated the colours you were using in the chat box i struggled a little to understand how it would work (nothing wrong with the colour choices just not a mix i have ever used) but i'll tell you what its worked excellently.
Lol the above comment is aimed at the white cloak on the picture above the fellbesast, you must have posted the fellbesast at the same time as i replied.

The fellbeast looks great - the wings turned out well. Excellent painting once agin my friend.

The wings look great, how did you do them? Looking solid so far, is there much more to be done?

Shadow Grey > watered down black wash > Shadow grey (2) + White (0.5) mix drybrush

Im debating whether or not to highlight the main body of the beast. Main concern is that i'll ruin it.

:D Cheers kev, tbh I have only ever used that mix for small bits of cloth so was unsure how it would turn out on a larger cloak.

Fantastic work on the Fellbeast and the Knight. 8) I would highlight the main body of it as it'll be the centerpiece to the army and stick out more. The more details painted the better it'll look. Practice highlights if you question your skills before doing the fellbeast. Good luck.

Wow page 3...I blame halo 4 for the lack of updates

anyway, havent spent all my time playing halo (just most of it). Couple of updates for you lucky people.

Especially for Dorth (and maybe DMS - I heard he likes pink). A selection of my purple morannon orcs. I got bored of painting red's and blues so decided (randomly) to try purple and I quite like it.

And my current project - Guards of the Fountain court. Got most of the base colours done.

As always C&C is welcome.

Banned for associating me with pink.... ah cack wrong thread.

Some really nice painting here SD the pink on the morannons looks surprisingly good, I like it. If you'd have said to me earlier in the chat box that you were painting morranon orcs pink i think i may have raised an eyebrow ..possibley two. However it works well they still look menacing. Well done mate.

Isildur is excellent - the highlights on the red are bang on the money.

The Shadow Lord is great - I love the little red gem that really sets him apart from others i have seen - simple small litte thing but makes all the difference.

Fantastic update mate - stay of that blasted game and get some more painting done, oh and one more thing- I spy with my little eye something beginning with P...........

PLASTIC MORIA CAVE TROLL

Lol - compliments well deserved mate .

The answer to the eye spy is in tiny writing under the "beginning with P...."

SD - for someone who claims to spending most of your time in the Halo universe, and probably a lot of the rest of it loitering around this site, you certainly get a fair bit of painting done. When do you find time to sleep???????
Purple Morannon orcs. Well it is different. I am an old stick-in-the-mud in that I prefer dark and dirty themes when it comes to all of the goblinoid races apparel, so even the purple garments would be dirtied up and darkened, made a bit raggedey. I like the fell-beast.
