Apologies everybody, but especially Greendragon and DMS, if my comments caused offence or distress. I have removed them and would be grateful if anybody that's quoted them could remove please.

I'm mortified to think I may have caused somebody that is a good friend to this community a real problem, not to say very embarrassed by the depths of my stupidity and naivity. I underestimated the potential impact of making unsuitable comments in a public forum. I'm going to remove myself from this group for a while. Really really sorry again.

Greendragon and DMS - I've PM-ed you separately too.

to get this back on topic do we think that the scenery in the new vid on the games workshop site is the scenery included in the box and the goblin town scenery box.
i would like to think so as it looks pretty awesome, although it is probably a few of the boxes put together!!!

Hmm maybe. Regardless, it does look very good, and not too difficult to replicate/build add ons ourselves.

Just received an email from GW with a new trailer!

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/wnt/b ... stid=83704

If that's what goblin town will look like, I'm very excited!

It would be great if it was compatible with the realm of battle battle board, or if they came out with some specific tiles as goblin town tiles. They have done this for 40k but those are forgeworld ones and really expensive.

I am starting to get some real high hopes for this coming box set. I sure hope that it comes with some terrain.

Does anyone know what was shown at the end of the video? I haven't read the hobbit in years and I just can't recall.

Those cheeky buggers! That new teaser trailer (are we allowed to post links if it's already on GW's website?) tells me NOTHING but somehow makes me want the game and film NOW. Usually this "here's a glimpse of nothing really" type of marketing doesn't work for me. This time though it got me right where it needed to...

Hmmmm elevated platforms! Very atmospheric, but oh boy these teasers are killing me!

I never thought I'd be saying this to GW, but...Image

A new Gollum could be in the box set - maybe even featuring his little boat. That would take care of 1 or 2 slots in the inventory.

I suppose it's the throne of the great goblin.

I think Radagast is going to bring news to Gandalf about the evil in Mirkwood and get the ball rolling with that storyline, assembling the White Council etc.

No pics but this from From Dakka Dakka:

I can confirm that the release and price lists are legit. No other main release in December except Hobbit.

Radagast is indeed the limited miniature from the starter box. Starter contains indeed Gandalf, Bilbo, the dwarfs and a whole bunch of Goblins including the Giant Goblin King. Goblins look different from the curent ones. Wearing loincloths, a bit bigger, a bit more deformed (Chaos star wasn't totally false ). Goblin King looks great, wears crown and loincloth, comes with a throne.
I assume that the non-limited starter will have a "soft release date" a few days after the limited edition is sold out (usually a week later).

Trolls are large and look similar to Ogres. Hunter Orcs mounted and unmounted have more cloths and armour, I like the look more than current Orcs. Goblin Town scenery basically is a set of wharf like wooden plank roads on different storeys, connected with poles and ladders (as seen in the second trailer).

So much from a first hasty glimps at the WD December.

I've updated my own thread with links to my Mines of Moria ebay auction (last box set!). As said before, Friday night 23:45 - get on the website over at green dragon and enjoy the goodies =].

New video today by GW, very exciting and some very nice looking terrain in there.

Regarding the GW contact, elliedoc, DMS and everyone else, please do not worry. I am 100% certain it was not a member of this forum, but rather, a rival competitor who out of professionalism will remain nameless - who had hoped that my slip up in bringing you all information would land me out of business. Thankfully its been cleared up but I can no longer post any info publicly on forums as it breaches the disclosure agreement. GW do read this forum, and so do my competitors - there is, very sadly, an ugly side to this wonderful hobby that some just like to ruin (take a look at the entire Maelstrom Games saga recently as evidence). I intend to stay clean, play by the rules and be the best darn retailer I can for you guys! Here here!
