I've posted tonnes of army lists up in other topics, but I'm not sure what's a better bet, given what I have to work with - 1000pts.

Gil-Galad
Elrond
Arwen (Ft & Mounted)
Glorfindel (Armoured)
Gildor
High Elf Captain x 2
High Elf Banner x 2
High Elf Spearman x 24
High Elf Bowmen x 12
High Elf Bladesman x 2

(A further 10+ assorted plastic high elves to be stripped)

Elladan & Elrohir (Unarmoured)
Halbarad (Banner)
Aragorn (Ft & Mounted)
Dunedain x 3
Ranger of the North x 2
Rangers of Arnor x 16

Haldir (Armoured)
Legolas (Armoured)
Galadhrim w/Banner
Galadhrim Bowmen x 12
Wood Elf w/ Blade x 8
Wood Elf w/ Spear x 8
Wood Elf w/ Bow x 8

Gandalf the Grey

------

I'm unsure whether to make it a pick and mix of allies, go the Rivendell/Arnor route, or Rivendell/Exiles route, or to add Lothlorien and Mirkwood too. :?

Personally, if you would like a devastating force on an all-around sense, I would take one company of Grey Company (led by whichever appropriate hero suits your fancy- I'd take Halbarad because he can continue to add to the fire support), then I'd take Glorfindel and a dozen spearmen, Gildor and another dozen high elven spearmen, then bring either Legolas or Haldir and bring a dozen woodelves, upgraded to exiles.

While this may seem rather haphazard (and I haven't actually calculated the points), it should give you a decent sized force to work with, backed by a fair number of archers, a solid defensive/ offensive line, backed by a mobile force led by Gildor. It is something I'd have fun using, use it if you like.

Thoughts?

Skip the throwing daggers on the exiles...you already have a missile weapon with the same strength. Spears would be better.
