Hey guys, I have finally completed collecting all the miniatures I wanted for my army. I'm currently reading the Rulebook to learn how to work the game/general rules but I have absolutely no idea how I should organize my warbands (I prefer WOTR over SBG) and companies. Can anyone help me out? I have a Gondor/Arnor/Fiefdom army I would very much like to put together in a very cohesive functional group. Here's my entire inventory if anyone can help me put them into respective/effective warbands.

9 Minas Tirith Citadel Guard Archers
Beregond

1 Armored Boromir (with Standard)

If I'm short on Captains I can always grab "Kings of Men". So let me know.

Just from having a quick scan of what you have, there isnt enough to make a decent army. If you dont have a multiple of 8 of something then it is useless in WoTR. What you have would make a nice SBG list though.

Really? Then I guess SBG is better because this stuff is overpriced to ever put another penny into!

Yup, WotR requires companies of 8 troops and you need a minimum of 3 companies per formation to make anything worth taking. The only reason I play WotR is because I have been collecting for aages so have acquired a fair amount of troops. If you do want to expand, I would go onto ebay, WoMT come up frequently and go for a cheapish price.

But you can still try Ebay as SouthernDunedain said. WoMT come up very often.

Well you have quite alot of cavalry for WOTR theyre only in companies of two models. Id say all you would need for a good WoTR force would be another 48 womt, this would give two to three good sized formations put them with the cavalry and you'd have a decent wee army! Id also advise you to clump together those special troops into the same formations eg put your Men at arms wth your swan knights on foot, put all your dunadain with the rangers and all you GotFC and citael guard together and you could have say 3 coys of GotFC, Rangers and Knights on foot! Ill write you up a good list tonight if Iget the time to show you what I mean! 8)

OK here's an example of a WotR force you could field:

4 x coys. WoMT (Here Ive assumed you've bought 48 more WoMT and Ive used the archers to bolster the numbers)
4 x coys. WoMT
3 x coys. Rangers (This formation is made from your rangers & dunedain)
3 x coys. Knights of DA on foot (made from knights & m@t)
4 x coys. GotFC (made from your GotFC & citadel guard)

5 x coys. Knights of Dol Amroth
6 x coys. KoMT

Trebuchet
2 x Avengers

Here you have around 1200pts just in troops! Sprinkle some commands into them formations, add a few heros and you'd have the guts of 2000pts which is perfect for the game. So when it comes to wotr proxy proxy proxy! Hope this helps! :)

You have a couple thousand points (SBG) of warbands right there- I don't have the time right now, but I'll see about taking a look at it later to help you organize it. The others are right, though, that in WotR you are a little short right now. I might also suggest picking up alternates from other companies that can be used to help you fill in the army lists at a more reasonable price, while still picking up things for WotR from GW when you can.
