I'm torn between MMS top quality work and the signature look of BoWT..
The other entries were very good level aswell, especially if you think the workload of painting 12 units instead of just one..
Some of the unfinished entries had top work aswell..
It's getting harder and harder to choose just one work, maybe we should get 2 or 3 votes per challenge..

Why isn't there a facepalm emoticon?!

Thanks for the honourable mentions, guys, those pictures infuriated me on the final night of the comp. For some reason they all came out very large and Piczo wouldn't accept a lot of them, so I had to get them resized with obvious impact to the quality.

Chris, I agree I hate the slots as well. Should've fixed them up :(

Went with John Wayne, not necessarily the best painting or conversions out of all entries, but the RRG stood out to me more than any of the others. It's almost cheating because they're nice models. But if I saw these warbands in a game, they'd definitely be attracting my attention the most.

The other entries are really good as well and Bilbo's was sentimental but I can't vote for him on nostalgia alone, however harsh that feels (not that they weren't really good, they just weren't my favourite entry).

I'm amazed there was a large turn out for September's challenge. Thought most people would get intimidated by the number of models needed to be painted in a month. The community has responded well with great entries.

I've looked at all the entires over and over again since the topic went up, to say that this the vote for this month is a tough choice is definitely an understatement.

Those that caught my eye the most and take special mentions are:

Ardboe: Outstanding painting. If the cloth had been red I would've given you full marks :P just kidding, it's interesting to see Morannon Orcs in purple. I especially like the top row pictures, and the bottom right one. Fantastic entry!
Edge67: A brutal, savage and grotesque Uruk warband. Beautiful! :-D You've really brought those Uruks to life. I like the variation on Berserker skin tones, and great detail on the banner.
John Wayne: My inner Rohirrim cries out with joy seeing Theodeon's Guard painted to such a beautiful standard. I think I may have fallen in love. That's all I can say 8)
Minimal Monkey Saddle: Subtle tones, incredible attention to detail, a superb entry!
Shieldmaiden: Very interesting colour scheme for the twins, do I have permission to steal it? :D They look fantastic amongst the rangers as well,
Telchar: Your conversions are brilliant, the one in picture #5 especially.
Wah Wing: Top marks for the colour scheme, it definitely brings the company together and makes it something special. Boromir for Gondor!

And of course, special mention for Bilbo's entry. A great Gothmog conversion, brilliant gritty painting that makes those old metal Orcs even more special.

If I could, I'd vote for all of them. As the cruel rules stand though, I have to make a choice. In the end I have to go for John Wayne's entry. But to all of you, brilliant, wonderful, fantastic work! You're all an inspiration :)

There was yet again some awesome work here, well done to everyone, so many to choose from. Also thanks to everythone who vaguely mentioned mine in their posts.

There was however only one winner for me, partly because he's one of the best on here, brilliant paintjob on those Orcses, but also because t is your last ever chance to win. And you have painted myy varouruite variant: the little guy with the mace and cloak, with one leg in the air . I felt my heart jump a little when I saw your name Mr Bilbo

:yay:

My favourite was John Wayne's so I went with that. Would be fitting if David won his final challenge though.

Many fantastic entries. Yet again a difficult choice. I guess I have a soft spot for Rohan so I went with John Wayne's entry. 8)
It's sad to hear we lost such a valuable member of this community. May he always be remembered for his success in life.

An excellent challenge overshadowed by the loss of such a high standing member of our community. Well done David you deserve this final challenge win.

I get a "errors on page" message when loading the first page here. I can't view the entries. Anyone else having that problem? I guess too many pictures, if that's possible.
