I completed the Easterling Captain on foot, the Drummer on foot and the Easterling Scout. I also made a new conversion, a Easterling Bannerbearer and I tried a new colour scheme. Tell me what you think about the scheme, I don't think I will paint more of them though. I also painted one of the Easterling Kataphrakt horses and made the base of it, now I need to paint the rider for it ;D

love the arwen diorama. banner is pretty cool. dont like the blue scheme though, imo blue has never worked on easterlings. Maybe try red and silver? but it's your army so whatever looks good to you.

Thanks! Yeah, it was just a test, I don't like it either, but I can try the red and silver scheme some time yeah ;D

The color scheme on the Easterling with sword is almost statuesque. There is so little flesh tone that I think Easterlings need to have the bronze armor in order to make them look alive. All the other Easterlings look terrific and I would stick with that style if I were you.

I agree about the blue. Red and bronze does make them seem more alive. If that's physically possible. :o
The others look great though. 8)

I bought the Command set for my Corsairs, because I want to make some more progress with my Osgilliath project soon. (link of the project: viewtopic.php?f=50&t=21934 )
I also bought some green stuff like 2 days ago, and I tried it out by converting an Uruk-Hai into a Guard of Barad-Dur. It isn't finished though, I'll make the red on the shield brighter and I'll also make the full armour and cloak darker. I also converted to Warriors of Minas Tirith into Osgilliath Veterans and made a flame to be on a torch soon; an Uruk-Hai will hold it.

hi Mark,
I really like the conversions, especially the Easterlings!!
I have to agree with other comments about blue on them, not quite to my taste.
Maybe some other dark colors,Yellows or black with color accents my work as an alternative...
I like using accents to differntiate between cav and inf units, with a basic color scheme as a unifying element.
Cool spike on Capt's helm!!! Nice simple idea!!!!!

Thanks for all the great comments people! I got a big update, well with lots of pictures ;D
I made progress on the Uruk-Hai holding a torch and on the Osgiliath Veterans conversions. I also finished the Black Guard of Barad-Dur, by making it darker and finishing the base. I've also assembled the Corsairs command, but that isn't a mayor update or something xD. But there is a thing.. I don't know if I'll still join the painting challenge, because I don't know if I got a legit entry.. My plan was to join with 6 conversions of Warriors of Minas Tirith into Osgiliath Veterans, the ones you see down below. And for the hero I'd make one with a banner or something special then, but I don't know if I may enter with that. If you know, please tell me! But for now, here are some pictures.

Those osgiliath conversions are really cool and really add to the character of the models.
