dunedan should be nice, i've always liked thier sculpts

And in other news Arwen's arm fell off... I don't think she fits very well in my GW case. She's sat out glueing now

Thanks my friend! I've had to find a new home for her where she won't collect dust... its a harder task than meets the eye!

So I did the next stage of the armour on the Elves this morning. The light is making them look very silver still but I assure you that isn't the case.

Also, what the hell?

Looks like I'll be making a return. Seriously though, **** them, this seems premeditated. :sad:

DId you get it from a retailer or ebay? Looks like someone trying to pull a fast one to me and giving themselves an out to claim ignorance. That really sucks though I know you were excited for the Gandalf the grey. If it were the Minas Tirith pose I would suggest you keep it, but that is definitely the common pose.

Well that sucks - the seller should have realised that it was Gandalf the White, even if GW didn't. Thinking about it the exact same thing happened to my brother when he was in the hobby (although he got it from a store) :roll:

Thanks guys. I think I'm gonna give them another going over with Burnished Gold before I give them a wash.

I emailed the seller to get a refund - he's got a small business at http://allhistoric.co.uk

Ugh, no more painting for a few days though... I'm feeling really under the weather and my throat is really sore. It's affecting my concentration so I'm gonna snuggle up in bed.

The elves in this thread are just breathtaking theyre just amazing and possibly the best elves i have ever seen :-D

however Asfaloth is actually the name of Glorfindel's horse in the books it was just used in the film as Arwen replaces him in the flight to the ford

UPDATE:

So I ordered some more paints to move on to my next projects, but while I was waiting I decided to get some more elves out the way.

The bases still need static grass on all but one of them, as he had to be a test subject for the only glue I could find at Morrison's - I'm hoping it dries clear, if not, I'll need to buy some more!

Quite pleased with 'em. :-D

I use Vallejo paints mainly Sid, Night Blue and Electric Blue, mixed for the layers. I think they translate to Midnight Blue and Icy something Blue. o_O

@ Chris - thanks dude! I'm keeping my paint scheme for the twins under wraps for now.
