Each faction in your army has to adhere to its own bow limit.
Count the number of warriors (non-heroes). 1/3rd of these can be bows, rounded up.

So if you have 12 warriors, 4 can be bows. If you have 20 warriors, 20/3 = 6.67 = 7 bows.

Its easier to count the entire models in your army list and divide by 3. Round it up the the nearest number. 8)

that method might end up innaccurate though becuse the bow limit is restricted to each faction as whafrog said in his post.

Also, it counts the heroes, which aren't part of the bow limit calculation.

For each non-hero in a faction with a bow, you must have at least two non-heroes without bows. That's the easiest, roughest and most commonly applicable guide.

But it's not always correct due to the new round-up rules. A list with 17 models may have 6 bows. (not included heroes).

Hence me saying roughest ;) You start off with my method to get used to it, then you can start saying "except the last batch can have just 1 bowman and 0, 1 or 2 non-bowmen" ;)

Under the new system each Warband needs to stick to it's own 33% limit, right (max 4 with bow, 8 without per warband)?

No, each faction, just like LoME.

Cool...thanks. I thought I saw it was per Warband on another thread but maybe that was in reference to ally warbands from different factions. I imagine deployment to support volley fire would be very tricky if this was per warband.

Yes indeed, there are pros and cons to putting all your bows in one warband. Heroes can use Might to alter deployment results, which can be important...like in the game where I rolled a 1 for Faramir's band three turns in a row...I shoulda spent some Might earlier...!
