I want to buy it from you but im poor

Except for the cost of the paint the trees were free. I used scrap MDFB and hedge clippings for the Trees.
You can make cliffs from pine bark or cork, what ever is available in your area.
I do use Hirst Molds but you can scribe foam insulation and get good results.

Image

Except for the Hirst Art cast road the whole mountain is pine bark. You don't have to spend a lot money to have nice terrain.

Image

You can see I saw the pine bark in half and stand it up.

Image

I drill a hole for the tree and glue down the tree and bark

Image

I use homemade/Treated lichen also way more cost effective than buying it.

Never heard of such a contraption  .

Heki Decovlies Wildgras comes as a 'mat'; you just tear off a strip and glue it onto wherever you want it. Very comfortable to work with. Clothing a hobbit hill with grass usually takes me six to eight hours, path-making included.

I have not used any glue yet because I am still very unsure of the final colors. I made the brown scatter today in the blender. I think I need to make some some red and yellow leaves.I am going to experiment with some neon or iridescent colors.
Make suggestions please :!:
I am going to do some black like lotrscenerybuilder suggested. I need to get a furniture project out of the way first.

I am still going to replace the door and windows and add flowers and a fence.
This is my first attempt with a static grass electric applicator. All of the on line how too sites recommend two applications. This is the first.
Image
I made these for the wargame table so they are sturdy enough for a five year old.
lotrscenerybuilder has inspired me to add more details. I have some soil and small stones for walk ways I will add latter.
I still have not had time to make colored saw dust for the trees.

I am trying to work something out that is not expensive
http://www.sceneryexpress.com/products.asp?dept=1234 DARK ADIRONDACK BLEND 32 oz.
Deep Dark Forest Floor in a Bottle. A multi-blend featuring darker elements found on a thick virgin forest floor. 32 oz. Shaker Bottle. For bases that will be 10 years worth.
http://www.sceneryexpress.com/departments.asp?dept=1032 A good selection . Scenic Express supply some of the companies that sell repacks of flocking maternal for bases.
I also like Alpine Blend.

oo the Hobbit holes are coming along excellently! They look very homely. How did you do the bricks? For the wooden beams I would get a metal brush and scrape them to get that wood grain effect. To avoid me explain the process, I have a tutorial video way back that I'll link you to - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ccf2Anv ... ature=plcp

Those tree's look just brilliant, top notch. The spider webs really help give it that eery uneasy feeling atmosphere. The other tree's (ones with foliage) are awesome and the bark stone representation is genius! (meaning I might pinch that idea  )

Edit: oh yeah... and those spiders creep the hell outa me (I still skip the shelob bit, lol)

But on a serious note: brilliant work as your standard is always very high and it's nice to have another terrain fanatic around. :)

Very good link. I will try it on the next batch. The bricks are a commercial product. I got them at a railroad show. 8)
Thanks

I made my own flocking from saw dust. I am going to use some of the fall colors as fallen leaves and flowers. I tried neon green.
I am going to make some glow in the dark flocking for tomorrow. Most of this has been inspired by the Hobbit leaked set photos.

Looks like a good start. I've wanted to try the sawdust method myself, however I still haven't got round to it.

I want to use some of the trees for Mirkwood I also have been casting ruined stair ways. I have been inspired by much of the Production videos.

I will have think about how to get this effect on a usable terrain section. The colored saw dust is a start. I will try to color some Spanish moss.
