Oke, it took me a while but i played a game with the suggested army. It was great! tnx a lot. only missed the banners once so would be a waste indeed if i payed for them. Played against a mordor army. Got 3 pics aswell.. first two are from the start and one from the last turn. Always forget to make pictures when we play the game..





mordor army was:
4x morannon + shield
6x orks + shield
2x orks + 2h
3x wargs
1x siegebow
2x mordor troll
1x troll chieftain
witchking on fellbeast
mouth of sauron
also banner and captain (and shaman?)

highlight i can remember:
The rangers killed the wargs but then they got slain by the morannon.
epic rampage with Dain was awesome against the morannon
the trolls where bit hard but also got them with my champions.
on the other side the group of 2h'ers had to squeez between the rocks so they where i but less effective, they've done there job tho as seen in the last pic.

in the middle i fougth against the chieftain and the 2h'ers with my 3c shields. Had a lot of luck there so holded up the chieftain. when my champion killed one troll he went off for the chieftain, luckely he won..

when the nazgul died against the khazad it was kinda done. In the last pic there is also the other group of 3c shield alive but they just felt off the pic....

anyways the advise on the army was great, really learnded a lot, nice new experience!



In the game one question came on: Does Dain's orc bane count for his company or the entire formation? We played for his comp only cause thats more obviously but just wanted to make sure..

oeh 2 other things: What would i remove if i would use saruman, and are Elladan and Elrohir a good add?

Dain's Orcbane doesn't do anything at all, it never applies to his formation or company, the rules is included for fluff only.

Elladan and Elrohir are good yes, not sure you need Saruman, or what to do to get himin.

How do you mean it doesn't apply? Glorfindel has Troolbane and Spiritbane.. This obviously gives him 1+D6 results when rolling to hit these creatures. Why does it not help Elrond of Dains formation or company?

Glorfindel ( a monster) is a formation not an Epic Hero. Epic Heroes that have bane, pathfinders etc do not give the ability to their formation. See the FAQ:

I've always thought that Pathfinders should/could count. It could represent the hero leading the formation through terrain.
