sorry about the slow progress of the uruks, GW's nuln oil is acting up so i've had to repaint them a bit

I've finally finished my uruks (2 days to paint 2 uruks!!)

no, i just had to replace that wash
so far my experience of the new ones is a pretty rubbish one
it makes things come out all glossy and shiny :sad:

Painting, conversions, greenstuff... you are insanely good at all the stuff I am bad at, SidTheSloth! I especially like the Uruk-hai crossbowmen. And I really look forward to see some Galadhrim, as I hopefully myself will be painting some soon.

Really like the bases you have for the Rohirrim. You should apply the same to the Uruk's or something similar so they are finished.

Gollum sneaks up on Sam and Frodo:

Gollum/Smeagol is one of my favourite models so I took a very long time to paint him.
i tried to capture his pallid complexion by basing him a greyish colour and then working up to a pale skin tone

Aragorn's and Gimli's faces do look very good, as suspected, I presume you used the old paints on them

Gollum looks amazing, what did you use for the water effects? His skin is well done too :yay:

I actually used just average PVA glue topped with plastic glue
it manages to make it all shiney

Thanks Sid, PVa glue, and a drop of plastic glue, that sounds quite doable. Cheers.

It works well on your other bases too.

the two cavalry bases i did with plasic glue and gollums one I did with both
you may need to do some testing as sometimes the PVA comes out a bit cloudy

These look great Sid.... I envy you're talent on painting faces

Aragorn and Gimli look superb. The Uruk's look top notch aswell

I see what you mean on the X Bow conversions, they look pretty nifty

Look pretty doable aswell. May have to pinch the idea

'Be wary o' legions of the one ring, for Eomer, Marshal of the ridermark's head has been severed and hardships are upon you, thus be on your guard, for the time of the conversion has come!!!

dramatics over - yep I'm converting Eomer

I'm going to make Eomer on foot and a captain of rohan on horseback
