Uni is finished for the semester and my Mum was looking after the little tacker, so I popped on over to my brother's house for a game!

Modified Lords of Battle scenario with an awesome ruined hill-fort and my creature army! So much fun!

I really like your battle reports: great terrain and nicely painted minis. :yay:

I love the, somewhat, miss-mash colour scheme of Bhurdur, he looks great!

I must get around to painting mine at some point, such an awesome model!

Yet again, I find myself torn between supporting Haradrim, and supporting the Creatures, though I am slightly in favour of the Creatures, because they look more interesting. Though, the only time I would not be torn during an evil vs evil battle, is if one side is Isengard, because I'm not too fond of them.

You remind me of Georrge R R Martin, as he too seems to be trying to force two sides into battle, when I really want both sides to win eg Tyrion Lannister and Stannis Baratheon.

Good battle too! :D Hope you had fun, interesting modles with cool paint jobs abound. 8)

I'm watching Game of Thrones, can't wit for something like season 5 to see those dragons at full length, but for me, Tyrion should be king, he's awesome(maybe because he is a dwarf and I'm such a fan of dwarves, as I'm not that tall myself to :-D )

@mastermanje, it won't be till Series 6/7 because the 3rd (and possibly 5th) willl be split into 2 series just like the books are in the UK.

Oh, and sorry simmuskhan for the little intrusion.

Sorry about this, but spider's don't have thoraxes. I hate correcting people, but I hate reading small mistakes like that in an otherwise awesome battle report.

They are Pegasus Scenery pre-painted castle wall ruins PEG5217. They used to come on sale at the local gaming store, and one day I batch bought a hole heap :) They're great! They also had pre-painted rubble and pre-painted castle turret ruins, though I only have 1 packet each of those, in a matching scheme with the walls. I'm not sure if they produce them any more though.

Thanks all, glad you enjoyed =)

Sorry about the arachnid lack of knowledge! I was taught (this is a looooooong time ago) that spiders just had the head and thorax combined, I didn't realise that it meant there was no thorax, just that they were together. Now I've looked it up, you'll just have to pretend that thorax is a shortening of cephalothorax =)

I'll bear that in mind for the future though and now I think you probably shouldn't read some of my older battle reports because I'll have made the same error in them I'm afraid!

Don't hate correcting people! After all, in Proverbs 12:1 we have "Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid." I don't want to be stupid! Now I'll just have to try and remember for next time!

And Gothmog, we did have fun, quite a great time playing in some different types of terrain and my brother and I liked having heroes front and center. The Betrayer was typically nasty with his transfixes, Buhrdur did a great job of whacking people, Druzhag's spell was fun, Suladan's charges were suitably epic... it was a fantastically fun game!

I think I like the new rules because in the past I've played games with, like, one hero and a bazillion goblins or dwarves and it's almost a little too much "nameless" going on. Here there is always a hero or captain doing something in every area of the board.

Anyway, glad you all enjoyed =)

Haha, it's ok, I usually just look at the pictures and see who won.
