Looks like an awesome start! However a square window (well rectangle)? Most hobbit windows are circles, semi circles or have a arched top.

Another nice Hobbit Hole, with 'correctly-shaped' windows. Where did that flower/cabbage patch come from? It really makes it look more homely. Good work.

I decided to make new Chimneys and front gates for the old Hobbit Village while I am working on the new village.I will need to make more dog houses and out houses.
I picked up parts for a o gauge corn field at the train show. I am going to add it too.

More very nice work. You do seem to be veryy good at finding interesting little titbits from all over, the flower bed just the latest of these. By 'dog houses' do you mean kennels ... or something else...?

How did you make the thatched roof on one of those dog kennels? I want to know how to make that for upcoming rohan stuff ;D

The thatch is teddy bear fur. You can buy it at fabric store to make stuffed animals.

The out buildings are designed to be use with different buildings so the villages do not have to be set up the same way twice.I painted the teddy bear fur with yellow earth colors.When the thatch was dry I was able to dry brush it. The other roofs were made with Hirst Arts bricks.

I still need to work on some high lights on the wood. I will Flock all of the new Hobbit holes at the same time.
I am going to use this chimney design for the old houses too.

I assume, when finished, the Hobbit Hole will not be stting ontop of a castle turret :wink: very nice, you'll have enough Hobbit Holes to house a large army soon.

I may have discovered a good way to finish the tree house.

I may be able to fit two or more platforms in this tree.

I am going to use the florist wire to make armatures to make adding the lichen easier. I am unsure of the trees over all shape.
However, I can duplicate the platforms. I may have to search my wood lot for something better. My Mirkwood tree armatures are just about dry enough to start.
