thanks, yeah I remember you ;) you still make vids? (i do)

I must admit I haven't been very active recently. I hope to get some more terrain done and post it up here. For youtube, I've got plenty of stuff that needs up - just haven't got round to doing it yet. :o Almost all of my stuff is thrown into my Drums WIP thread anyway, so it's just putting it on youtube.

Drum 8)

I think you should just put it on youtube, like you said it isnt much work. Just make time ;)

I made some progress on the chariot

Image

The floor of the chariot was way to thin so I made it thicker.

But the thing I wonder about is what you think. Should I leave the front of the chariot open (like this) or should i cover it up so you only see it at the inside? and when I should cover it up, how? with fur on the outside? or just plates, plz help xD

- ehe, yes I shall try

- hmm if you left it you could have a wicker basket kind of look to the front or perhaps you could use plates (like the plates on the Easterling's chest, fish scale type but golden and sized up) at the front, stacked on top of each other.

Wow !!! lookin good. The way you have it set up there with the open squares would make it quite easy to make a thatched effect. You can get some flexible really fine sticks from model shops that would weave in and out of the chariot squares nicely. (sorry I don't know what the sticks are called I have a bag of them so I know theyre out there)

Great progress :D

Yeah i thought of that too, I'll try that :D
I also made to small banners, but how shall I paint them? with what small logo in it? a scorpion?

True, that would be very nice too ;O But I don't know if it fills in enough, cuz there is a big shape between it and I want to hold this Easterling style to it, so I think the fish scale patern is a bit better for the chariot, but I might consider to put some sticks through it for solidness, so you can see that from the back of it, so it looks like a luxe chariot, just like the Easterlings are, luxury

If I'm correct I think scorpion's more haradrim, while Easterlings went more with Snakes. But to be honest, I wouldn't really mind and personally I'd go for a snake since it's easier (or I'm just lazier) to do free hand. Colours are just your gold and reds, yellows and your done. Look forward to your next update. 8)

Looks good so far. I think going with a snake could work well (like the old metal Easterling Banner) or going with the current banner design. Although I also like the idea of a scorpion, (you could also use it on Khand units as well if you have/get any), it's really up to you, maybe try a few out on paper first

Can't wait to see more progress

That is really cool!
If it was me, I think I would copy the eye from the moria bolt thrower on to the front of the chariot. You could use small doll eyes for rivets
I like your avatar too :!: :yay:

You mean that eye-kinda-thing like I did on the front of my siege bow? (on the avatar)
Glad you like my avatar btw :D

Yeah I'll test them all, the only problem is that I want to keep those banners really small (not like my rohan chariot), but I'll try them all on paper, and then check what looks the best :D (thx for the ideas of banners btw)

I made some progress on my chariot yesterday.
I did the plate-thing on the outside and I'm really pleased with it :D

At the interior you can see that red surface, I'll make that higher so it sticks out and the figures can look over the chariot normally xD

I made a bit of progress with the platework, but I saw that the Eye-of-Mordor idea don't look nice, so I decided to not do that. I also decided to just have 1 flag instead of 2. I made holders for the arrows of the archer and for the spear where the banner will be on.

Image
I'll make the spear look better btw xD

Image
I really like the flag!

Thank you ;) I think I'll finish the platework soon and then I'm done for today ;)
Btw. I also made an arrow as addition to stick in the chariot for some extra detail, but I'll place that on it at last

I finished the main structure of the Chariot and I also painted one of the two horses that will pull the Chariot.

I'm pretty pleased with how the cloth on the horse looks ;)

I primed the main structure of the chariot now, so I can paint it tomorrow or the day after (in connection with school)
