Basecoat of medium olive-vallejo model color
wash with green-black ink-vallejo game color ink
add a layer of medium olive then
mixed in pine-reaper pro paint-to build up to the lighter color.

Thanks! Is the pine reaper the same as the Pine Green Reaper Master Series Paints? I intend try out the scheme myself and don't want to buy the wrong paints :)

Okay, bought a dweller, disliked the wings so I took them off and filled in the holes with brown stuff-because I had some and wanted to get rid of it.

The Uruks look very cool, but I think the Dweller looks weird wingless.

Nice work! It certainly is different without the wings, still looks like a daemon to me. Really like the design work on the middle Uruk shield, and scrolling back your Black Guard Captains shield!

I actually like the dweller. Without the wings, and with the paint job you gave it, it doesn't look like a miny balrog anymore! :D

 You don't like the baby Balrog!

(I think it looks more WFB without it wings, but maybe I'm getting paranoid.)

Ya know, I had the wings tac'ed on and the one that that really got to me was how THICK the wings were. The wings are small and thick, which makes sense since the wings are close to the body and not spread out, but it just looked bad to me so away they went. I may go back and work on the teeth, they blend into the face too much. This is the second one, the first one had serious problems (read: bubbles) with the main body/tail, the second kit still had problems but between the two kits I had good parts that I wanted.

Those Uruks a cool :) The pose of the Dweller looks very lizard like without wings, I can't decide if I like it better with or without wings. And it appears to have been painted better than GW painted theirs :D :D :D

Set this aside for a long time, finally finished the base.
last pic is a little blurry, I was actually holding the camera, while the others I had a tripod set up.

The white streak is me experimenting with a tamiya weathering stick, did not end up using it on the model though.
