Moria Goblin Commanders

Hey all, I picked up the Moria Goblin Commanders boxed set today and got two pleasant surprises. Firstly, it only cost me $23.99 which is a full 16 bucks less that GW's MSRRP.

Secondly, I got 5 models in it not including the drum! It not only contained the older Goblin Shaman model depicted on the box (the one that was released with Shadow & Flame in '02) but also this one:

Now, I was under the impression that only one Shaman had been converted to Finecast. Does this mean, however, that the model that comes in the box usually has some randomization? Could I, for example, get the Goblin Captain with sword in this one (as I did, and it's the one pictured on the box) and the one with a bow in another set?

Anyone who has an explanation for this, I'd be most grateful to hear from.

If this is the case I wonder if it's the same for other Command sets, such as the MOrdor ORc one, maybe you can get the newer Captains in Finecast after all?

Well, I happily got the Dwarf Captain and banner that their packaging showed. Already having 3 Captains and 2 banners of the other sculpt, I would've been slightly miffed if I'd gotten the ones I had!

Interesting that this seems to be the first time this has popped up...

It look like the Goblin Commanders are the best value of the FC ones, it costs less than the others, comes with 4 models plus drum, with a possiblity of an accidental 5th model.

Yeah, it really was nice. I only really collected Moria off and on, so I didn't get any Shamans before. Now I've got two! I might look into another box of the command. With Goblins you can never have too many Heroes!
