I have started the painting. Every single model has been undercoated black, and I have applied the first layer of silver armour to the silver armour. No pics until I omplete a more interesting stage.

Right, sorry I was elayed. As I said, I have already finishe them, but have not taken any finished pics, for now, I will give you these progress pics if anyone is interested, sorry there are a lot of blanks as I kept forgetting to take pictures before progressing to the next stage of painting. In any case, eenough of pointless words on a page, here are some of the pics. First a few progress shots of the Barbarians of Carn Dum:

An then of the Ghosts and similar beings, not too much an array of colour on these guys anyway:

Then came Blackshields:

They have a Cave Troll:

Image

Image

Durburz and Druzhag, the oroginbal and less cheesy Goblin King and Beast Shaman:

Image

Morannon Orcs and Warg Riders:

As you can see, for one of my lower calibre of painter, there is not much left to do after these stages, just the final highlights, basing and some of the smaller details such as the Goblin leaders' teeth. I will be back later with the final results. Thank you very much for your patience.

Looks like you are an ok painter, but not a great photographer :) . The pictures (especially the ones with many models) are quite blurry.

I think there's a bit too much going on in the background, which I usually find is why the pics go blurry. Try taking a photo of just one model at a time and see if that helps.

Some good conversions in there btw.

Thank you very much for your comments. Sorry about the camera problems everyone.

@DMS, thanks, he doesn't look too good from the back though.

@Hilbert, yes Morogmir is there, thanks he was very nice to paint, more interesting than 80 Barbarians too...

@Chris, thankyou, they are done now, I left most of them as they were except for bases, just added slight detail to heroes.

@CotWT, I will try pics of single models on window shelf in daylight for final shots.

Thanks again, that is why I love this site

nice to see how your epic army even improved since I abandoned WoTR and SBG for a while :-D . one question: how did you made that arrow in the body of the spectre?

Thank you. How come you abandoned WoTR and SBG?

As for the 'arrow', probably a spear actually, all I did was drill a hole right the way through the model (its pretty easy with plastic models) and then placed a piece of hobby wire (they're supposed to be used for ornamental flowers) right the way through, and made the end with green stuff.

Thanx, my friends were annoyed by WoTR and SBG(not true fans), so I had nobody to play against :( that's the reason.

Have you ever tried using any form of highlighting or shading techniques on your figures? I'm thinking you would benefit from doing so. :)

Those pictures are of uncomplete models,I haven't yet had chance to upload completye models. I do use fairly simple highlights on important models, but mostly because I always paint models in big batches, I could never be bothered to learn how to dio it properly. The only models I have done that you may consider to have shadings / highlights are my Shade, Orc War Lord, and some of my more recents, all of which have at least 2-3 shades plus wash, except ones I care less about such as Morannon Orcs and Moria Goblins.

Well, I was kind of busy, so even though I finished painting them weeks ago, and took pictures weeks ago, its taken until now for me to uplaod them, so here they are. Nothing new, as yet.

Druzhag the Beastcaller ft & mtd:

And one final picture to showcase some Angmar related items:

That's a massive army  I really like the purple wash on the ghostly riders and the red on the barbarians. Nice work 8)

Thanks Bilbo. :D

First up are the Gundabad Blackshield Command I have entered into the Painting Challenge, but will almost certainly not have time to finish, alongside my official Warg Marauder, which, after assembly, looks much better than I had anticepated. The Marauder has already been washed in soapy water:

Image

And because it would cost £62 to buy the other 4 Warg marauders I need for my SBG Hunt For the Ring Army, I made 4 Warg Marauders out of Wild Wargs and Moria Goblins (I'll speak more about the Wild Wargs in a minute). I also gave all 4 a scenic base so as to match the official one only each of the 4 was different; a dead horse, a rock, a dwarf sceleton and some fallen weaponry and helmet:

Image

Image

Also, on the gaming board up for painting, are 2 Generic Ringwraiths (also for the Hunt For the Ring Army) which I got off a trade with Dezartfox, and 4 Wild Wargs, I have not taken picture of these just yet.

If you wondering why there is a total of 8 Wargs and not 6 (or 12), it is because the box of Wargs I ordered of GW and recieved cane with 5 1/2 Wargs, as they somehow left out half a Warg. When I took it to GW, in addition to exchangeing the 5 1/2 Wargs for 6 Wargs, he gave me 2 extra Wargs by way of compensation. I love GW's customer service :D
