can i equip a warrior with some thing (like a shield) although his miniture does not have one, but his profile says that i can?
i am wondering, because some galadhrim warriors are wearing shields and some are not
and can i equip an elf who has an elveblade with a shield?
and finally can some one with an arrow fight in a close combat?

Yes you can equip a model with a shield if its on their profile.

You can equip a model with a shield and an elven blade, but don't do it, because a model acn't use their weapon two-handed of they also have a shield, you can give them just shields and hand weapons if you want.

Archers can fightin close combat.

but if my elf archers just have an arrow and nothign else, they have to fight with their hands so they get a -1 on their fight role?

No, because they have hand weapons. ALL models have a hand weapon unless explicitly stated otherwise.

but e.g. the warriors of galadhrim can not wear a heavy armor, so they have only a def of 4, so is it stil better not to equip with a shield?

You can give them just a shield, or a shield and a spear, but you cannot take bow and shield, and shouldn't take elven blade and shield. Some people use elven blades, but only 2 or 3 in their army, using mostly shields, spear and bows (or if wood elves; spears, bows and throwing daggers)

Eee nit exactly, say someone wanted 36 Galadhrim Elves, you might have: 12 with bows, 20 with shields and spears and 4 with Elven blades

When you say "equip" are you talking about altering the physical model, or just saying "those guys actually have shields + spear, even though their model doesn't show it"? If the former, you can do whatever you want. If the latter, you have to make it clear to your opponent. Most people like to stick with WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) so there's no confusion.

i'm so confused on what you are trying to ask even though i think Gothmog or Whafrog has prob. answered it by now. Like you say the second thing, but then you say wysiwyg is favourited by you. When if its favoured by you shouldn't it be the first option Whafrog said that you would be talking about? Idk maybe i missed something here...
