Hello again,

Could not resist to watch The Fellowship of the Ring again! It's been the second time this month 8)
And I just love this scene! (sorry for the dutch subs  )
Image

I just received a whole bunch of miniatures through the mail today!! 24 Warriors of Minas Tirith, 24 Warriors of Rohan and 24 Warriors of the last Alliance!
And the best news is that for all those miniatures I paid the same as I would have if I'd buy 24 warriors if it were in the store!

So I hope I can get some of my fiefdom-armies started! I now have almost the double of WoMT and WoR (half unpainted half badly-painted!)
Here's a picture of all the sprues together!
Image

Got any good tips on making awesome fiefdom armies?

Regards,
Yoram.

Hello!

I've stumbled upon a minor bump in making my fiefdomarmies. I've been busy converting the Warriors of Rohan into spearman of (I haven't figured out where) and have repositioned some arms and some hands and replaced the spearpoints to those of the Warriors of Minas Tirith! I intend to swap heads and give the cloaks some hoodies but I haven't figured out what type of head and shields I will use..

Should i go for the WoMT heads and shields?
Or should I go with the Numenorian heads and shields?

Some photo's

Please post in your comment which type of head and shield I should use and why!

Regards,
Yoram.

Hiya!

So another update because I've been quite the busy bee today! I finished some Knights of Minas Tirith and painted my two old metal ones. I really enjoyed painting them, they're pretty darn easy to paint!

The two on the left are the metal ones. I replaced his hand with a sworded one because it broke off pretty ugly and I wanted to make the Knights a bit more diverse from just having lances with or without banners.
Image

Other four. Did the same armreplacement with the far right plastic KoMT.
Image

And I totally forgot to show the endresult of the Men-at-Arms of Dol Amroth! So here they are!
Image

Other angle.
Image

I've also continued to paint up my messengers of Gondor! Stil need to make some final tweeks but I couldn't be bothered
Image

I'm almost done converting my first Fiefdom guys. I just need to find a nice hand position for the one-armed-geezer and I need to give them headswaps and some shields. The headless guy will be like the leader and for his head I'm using the Elvish-head which came in the conversion-kit from Battle-Games of Middle Earth;
Image

And my other activity (yes there is even more :D ) is that I'm trying to make some Rangers of Middle Earth mounted. Here you can see what I've done
Image
I chose this model, because of his fortunate handpositioning and high bow and quiver.
Image
"They come with fire, they come with axes... gnawing, biting, breaking, hacking, burning" Original model and soon to be mounted version.
Image
Here you can see what is left of the Rider of Rohan.
Image
Other angle.
Image
I placed it on the base to show you what the front looks like.
Image
I just need to glue his both halfs together and fill in the gaps and reshape the cloak with Green Stuff.

I hope you liked it, please let me know where I can improve.

Regards,
Yoram.

the conversions are really nice, i would try and mix and match the minas tirith and rohan heads but i would predominantly go with minas tirith heads as this could be a uniting symbol of your army. Also are you basing your fihures because i cant see any and if you are you should do a battle of pelennor fields basing scheme as this is where quite a large amount of the fiefdoms came together to fight. apart from that, keep up the good work :)

Hahahha "One does not simply walk into Mordor". Internet caused my brains to expect a "one does not simply..." joke when I saw that pic.:p

Great stuff Gondors Finest, keep up the good work (I love the Fiefdoms so hopefully your thread will motivate me to expand my Fiefdoms army)

Oh I see now, must have seen King Elessar's name and my brain told me it was his thread, I'll change it again (I really need to sleep).

Once again, great work, keep it up.

I haven't begun basing yet. I used to do it before i quit. But that was just gluing sand and then painting and adding some patches of grass. Nothing special! I was planning on making two types of bases. Some filled with debris (from Osgiliath or other places filled with ruines) and I also wanted to make a more field-like base. Perhaps to resemble Pellenor Fields! Thanks for your kind words!

I just couldn't keep my hands off them! I kept on working! Will post pictures when they are uploaded!

Thanks very much for your kind words! I myself needed to find a lot of motivation! But finally gotten into it! And there's almost no stopping me now! The only sad part is that I also have to paint everything! And I always keep on buying new stuff, and never finish old stuff!

So, I couldn't keep my hands off of those mounted Rangers of Middle Earth!

I glued the first model and when that dried I tackled the other model I wanted to make horsebacked!
Here's what's been removed of him!
Image
I suppose I should buy some form of an saw

So I glued him as well, and tried to take decent pictures. Something which is quite hard in my room

it could just be the pictures but it looks like there is a small gap inbetween the wasits of the rangers and their legs you could clean that up with green stuff if this is the case. the rider with the sword has a fantastic pose as he looks like he's urging his steed into battle :) keep up the good work

It was plain old goblin green paint! I've been sculpting a small bit (everything except the cloaks) but I wanted to sand it down because I don't have any sculptingtools.. Needs time to get the stuff hard though!

Thank you very! I really like your topic! And I'm glad I have a lot more followers now! It really motivates me to keep working! Sadly I haven't worked on anything, except that I bought Arathorn and Halbarad for a bit lower than the retail price! So Arathorn is going to be the real captain of the squad!
