LOL I totally agree... However I do think I saw somewhere that it's like a mini mumak. Supposedly it's able to knock down stuff... Only on a smaller level.(Maybe it's only allowed to knock down a few models per turn?)

I don't like the feet or the head with the tongue sticking out. Fortunately, the feet aren't that noticable and it comes with 2 heads, the other of which I like.

I would go with the Khorne daemon-esque head, just to avoid it looking like a Mini Balrog.

I think you are confusing the Dweller with the Great Beast, the great Beast is the mini-munmak, the Dweller is the Blarog/Troll/Gulavhar creature

That is where your artistic talent has to come in...I think I might get this guy, then give him a completely different paint scheme than what GW did.

I was thinkin the same thing ... different colour scheme would completely change the miniature

There used to be thousands of balrogs, I'm sure some of them were smaller and looked like the dweller.

Please do, and post pictures. It would be nice if it had more redeeming features, and a unique paint job and look would help, as opposed to it looking like Balrog junior.

I LOVE this model, it comes with 2 head options and 2 arm option, the base is really nice.

I will go for the mini Balrog paint scheme, but believe me its a really nice sculpt, as is most things by the Perry brothers

I just had a look at the rules today, and I honestly don't think it to be overpowered. Slightly underpriced maybe. But it has a low Defence, low strength (for a monster), moderate courage (about 4, if I remember correctly?), 4 attacks, 4 wounds. Its not a Hero, so has no fate to save itself against shooting and the like. It does have an 8" move, but it cannot fly. Which is odd actually, considering it has wings. I think the Balrog and this Dweller should have the Fly special rule, but with low Movement Rates i.e. the 6" and 8" that they already have. Sure, they don't fly in the same sense as a Dragon or Eagle. But I'm sure they can leap great distances, maybe using the wings to aid in that. In fact the Balrog is shown leaping in the FOTR film.

The way to deal with it seems to be by Shooting it down through volume of fire. 12 Archers sniping at it, or even volleying should take a heavy toll before it gets close.

Oh ok. Well, I still don't think its overpowered, because it (appears, at a quick 2 min glance) to be very vulnerable to missile fire. And its not a Hero, correct? So it gets no Fate to protect itself. It might be underpriced for what it can do, of course, if its cheaper than a cave troll.

But mass shooting definately seems to be the way to deal with it. If you can get a warband of 12 archers or so and keep a LOS on it for several turns before it reaches you, its not going to be in one piece.

OH and people with Blackroot Vale Archers and Duinhir are going to love making a pin cushion of this thing.

I hate this model, while I do collect a Warhammer 40,000 Chaos Daemons army, it looks too chaosish to be part of Lord of the Rings.

Not with a proper paint job that isn't Black with fire. You can't blame the Dweller for GW being totally not creative in their paint sheme for him :no:

Eh, not really. Does it look like Warhammer Daemons? With the right head, yes. But that's only because they were obviously based off of Tolkien's balrog.
