Yikes it's been a while. An update on what's been going on. Firstly I lost motivation for my Great Beast but didn't want to update until it was done, so I have done some other painting (though a bit of 40k as well). I've also been very busy in real life and away. But I'm back now and decided I'd finally update this thread as I'm getting back into painting.
For the following photos I managed to borrow a better camera, so I'm hopeful the image quality may be slightly improved.
Firstly, my Great Beast of Gorgoroth. Still unfinished and now slightly damaged after an exercise ball incident (thankfully it was the only thing damaged and wasn't too bad):
I decided to give the howdah metal plating and black cloth.
The crew:
Also unfinished. From memory I've done 4 different skin tones, a couple of different leather varieties and about 4 clothing colours. Diverse but still unified, no Orc is the same.
And now that's out the way, I can show some older models which I'm proud of.
Glorfindel:
Ashrak (shown before in this thread, just wanted to see if the picture quality was better):
Legolas (for a painting challenge here):
Hasharin conversion (for a painting challenge here, sadly no votes):
Barrow Wight (slightly disappointed with the photography):
Elendil (proud of the red blending and gold pattern seen ont he 2nd pic):
Corsair of Umbar test scheme:
Theoden:
And while I'm being a tad nostalgic, my first ever models (excepting WoMT):
Think I've improved a little.
And finally, something from my Gondorian project:
Feedback welcomed, along with any requests for more photos.
