Some of you may remember me from way back when, others will ask "who's that fool with no space between the title and his surname!" He's the stig!... doh sorry wrong board

Hi all,
It's brilliant to be posting here again! I won't go into details, but due to 3rd year Uni and having to move home I haven't had any time for the hobby

But that has all changed now! So what's happening guys? I can see the site has had a change of appearance, are all the usual faces about still? Have we all gone WOTR obsessed? (*hopefully not)

Looking forward to getting to know you again and some of the new goblins if they are friendly :puppy:

In answer to your first question, no I think not. There are some who did try WoTR and still play SBG as well, others who tried WoTR and returned to SBG and those people who have stayed with SBG thus far.

We haven't met but I will also welcome you back. It shall be a pleasure to get to know you, though calling me a goblin again may result in me becoming very 'hasty'. :-D

And they still keep coming back...... I remember you.

Most guys from back in the day are still on here, though some more sporadically. I for one have not gone all wotr-y, and it doesn't really effect the wips. In fact, it encourages you to paint more guys, so if anything it has added to the amount of figures being painted.
I hope to some of your work soon...

I must admit I'm a bit it rusty with the new site, layout looks familiar, but has the picture posting html changed?

Good to hear SBG is still of main focus! I cannot stand WOTR or perhaps I am just angry with the way GW has completely dropped SBG in favour of WOTR.

So what's been happening for the past year or two? Is there a Hobbit film due to come out soon? Have GW packed in LOTR SBG?

Been on a bit of a hiatus myself, but getting back into the feel of it thanks to DMS. :twisted:

LotR will always be SBG for me. I tried WotR a few times but it didn't appeal to me at all.

Jack! Excellent to see you on the site once again. It's definitely been a while.

The layout is pretty much the same but due to recent hackings the site has a few of its' old features missing for the time being.

Welcome back mate, will be good to have another familiar face around the boards

They always come back. I never went away - I just have a lot less time to carry on around here. Many of the familiar names are still floating around (though I have not seen HE WHO SHALL NOT BE NAMED for quite a while)

Welcome back. Maybe I will find some more time to hang aroud too!

Dave - great to hear you're here still! Since our trade a few years ago, i've painted up that Birch Ent! Absolutely brilliant model! Has inspired me to give sculpting a go, albeit wasting milliput :lol:

Jake - Hello old friend! I see you've been promoted/enslaved... Congrats mate! All your hard work and dedication has been rewarded. I've been reading about this hacking, hopefully One Ring will be here for some years to come

I never seem to notice people leave this site, but that's probably because I don't spend that much time here anymore.(I know, I'll end up a drug-addicted murderer.) The only person I really remember leaving here is Curunir. (whatever happened to him? He was a nice guy.)

I think I remember seeing you a few times when I first joined, I'm not sure though. As you might have noticed already, most people are still sbg focussed.
Looking forward to seeing you in the painting challenge (however I somehow make it a tradition, to do not finish the mini in time :oops:
