it would be good to see peoples different interpretations of a common idea.
did that make sense?

yes. I was thinking much the same thing.

if for example u make a tutorial - the people get to make the same thing (but then fill it in with a different more personal form)?

I think it would be good to spread it over a larger time - like 2months for example (gives more people the opportunity to join in).
I would do something like for example - rohan themed, mines of moria, fallen realms,....

The tutorial is a good Idea. I will think about how to best go about that. I like the idea of every working toward something together. That would be fun.The longer time period would give more time to locate maternal and try new things.I think a theme is very inportant.

let's say an old CD or something. Would make the works uniformer in some way. But that might just be limiting everything to much ... dunno just a suggestion.

A CD size might be good for a start. Lets say every one should build a CD size section of difficult terrain. So that a Godor or a goblin player could both take part. If we made the theme Moria some players would feel left out.

http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Da ... test/03505 The Bobby Jackson figure will be my next purchase. The figure on the left is old. They will make one for you if it is not in the current Catalog.I put the GW figure with it so you could see the size.

Really like the trolls! They look like they have been standing strong against weathers for a very long time! Which figure is that on your pictures, i can't bring it home!

dunno if it's a good idea - but it might be cool to add some moss or something on their backs.

Very good stone renditions of Bert, Tom and William (strange names for trolls)

:) Actually...I'm gonna throw a little controversy in this thread, and ask why you made Gollum's pool green? I mean it looks good and all, but personally I would have done something different because its in a cave..so it wouldnt really have algae or that sort of stuff to make it murky.

Still the other stuff you've doen looks awesome as usual. 8)

I thought about it too. The algae that washed in would die very quickly. In the end I decided to match the DF. Gray on gray with gray high lights and black gloss water would have been gray  I did not put grass on the troll cave for over a year. In the end it looks better. :)

as always, you have done some marvellous work.

An terrain challenge seems like a great idea to me.
(if I say something about this please note, Ive been away from the forum for a while, so maybe it has already been said)
But what exactly where you thinking of?
-every month a different realm.
-a specific building, tree, etc for every month.
-specific material restriction. (a wood or polystyrene month?)
-A bit more random (for example everyone makes a bridge, but it doesn't matter what kind of a bridge.)
-every month building a part of one of the books (for example a chapter of the silmarilion)

And maybe do something like two one-month challenges and then one two-month challenge to give people some time for both small and larger projects?
