You've been quite productive these days... :o
How on earth can you find the time to build all that stuff.
I really love your seeing seat, but as you said, the sculpt could be improved.

Looking forward to the next update

That was my first sculpt. I was inpatient. I did learn a lot. I will work on some more.

I pick a theme and I work on it a little every day. I have been working on the Hobbit for a year. The LOTR stuff for 10.

I wonder though, if you might consider plugging up gaps where the blocks meet with a mix of plaster and PVA, so they would be less noticeable. It looks great as it is however.

I have done that with some of the parts. The problem is the edges always show. The not filling the spaces breaks it in to a one inch grid for D&D and the seams don't show as badly.

This is a very nice table but it is a good example of the edges showing. I am going to do something similar for Gollums pool.
I am also considering this: http://www.zuzzy.com/sw-fg-001-flagston ... g-mat.html it will be a good replacement for my felt mat.If I use the new mat I will make the edge round and fill the spaces.

I have considered ordering a couple of the Zuzzy mats, but recent customers have reported very long delays with little to no communication from the owners. I may wait until they get those problems worked out before I place my order.

I received the mold in the mail at two this afternoon and could not wait to try it out. The blocks are still wet and need to be cleaned up a little. I was very curious what I could do with it.They will look much better squared up and glued together.I think I will try some of the blocks with the chipped stone and may be Egyptian blocks. I will make one more cast tonight but I am going to pull out my books and work out a plan.

First column and wall corner. There will be very little filling needed. I will file some seams when the glue is dry.

I agree - i'm really looking forward to seeing this piece in all its glory - starting to get into the terrain side of the hobby, all be it on a small 25mm base basis. I take it you won't be using gloss varnish for the water lol. Don't think I'll make that mistake again.... :o

Gollum's Lake is lookin' really good! 8)

...BTW, just how many different projects do you have your fingers in at the moment? Your hobby ADD (attention deficit disorder) rivals mine...however, you at least complete projects where mine have a tendency to linger way too long! :-D
