Oh my goodness! When you see the models one after the other, it shows what an incredibly talented bunch you all are! Great work everyone!

I cannot decide who to vote for yet so will take a bit longer to admire them all.

Gosh, it was a really hard choice. There's several brilliant ones. In the end I went for HeavySoul's, although I almost went for draked's (if I'm honest, I would have gone for draked's if it hadn't been for the White Hand on the shield, which didn't look too good).

I've voted for Pasi's, I love the realistic look you've given him and the dark colours. The white hand is great too. Though it was very difficult to choose just one out of the many great entries, good job everybody and good luck 8)

This was really hard!!!! In fact I couldn't decide at all between quite a few of the Lurtz miniatures but what swung it was the skin tone on Vrasku - I voted for BilboOfTheWhiteTower, cracking paint job!!!

Oh wow.

What a line-up of models. It's great to see so many well painted models in one place. It's especially cool to see so many takes on the one pose of lurtz w/ bow. In the end I decided to go for Sacrilege83's Lurtz, the colour variation you got on the leather is just stunning. It gets across that ragged almost moldy and somewhat mildewy type leather that the films portrayed so well. Good job to everyone, there are many good entries this time.

I had to go with Sacrilege83's work. There were three I was really torn between (and two others that stand out as well), but I think S83 nailed the look from the film. The skin and facial appearance, gear, base, everything. An inspiration.

This is proving very difficult to cast a vote. I might as well put all the names of the ones that I like into a hat and draw a name out of it. There's too many good ones, I don't think one has an edge over the other... wait Edge67 has an edge... HIS BASE, lol! But still deciding... damn where's Macgothmog's entry when you need it.

Damn, I took over a half hour trying to narrow it down from 9 that I liked through process of elimination. From every miniscule thing: camera focus, basing, effects, colour scheme as a whole, even going to the rule as to vote for someone who has improved and not voting for someone who already previously won and still shows the same great skills he had last time, lol. So to me HeavySoul is the one who won my a milimetre across the finish line. Maybe his base is far away from Edge's, as everyone elses, and my one complaint is his eyes, but that is such a small thing compared to the rest of the job which is really damn good. Also Draked's captain made an impression on me, even though it's the usual same old Isengard gritty armour, he done very well, the same goes for Sir Richard. But with Draked's I like his left leg, lol, because the job with the skin seemed different and closely resembles the films gritty look that I couldn't pull off with my own model.

I voted for Dead Marsh Spectre. All the enteries are fantastic but what captured me about his was the vibrancy he was able to portray while still keeping to the natural tones that define an Uruk-Hai. S83 and Erunion were my next two choices. I think the realism of S83's model is incredible and as other has said the skin tone on Ugluk is great.

I appreciate the comments on my model!
The white hand- my first attempt at free-hand. I was not pleased with it but knew I'd regret not trying.
The left leg- highlights, highlights, highlights. I was really pleased with his legs. Especially the backs.

It'll be interesting to see who pulls out victorious! Good luck to all! I had fun!

Hey Red Corsairs if you're coming across reading this. It's great we tied the record at 17 entries, but I just realised something. Are we capped at 20 entries due to the amount of options you can have on a poll in the forum? I mean say if there was 21+ of us participating, what would you do then concerning the voting? Hopefully the popularity in participating in painting challenges doesn't blow through the roof or else we'll have a problem, there's something to ponder over in the future of painting challenge.

Decided to vote for Valpas as his seemed to me had the most resemblance to the movies.
Great entries everyone! Now I know i need to step it up in the next challenge to at least win a few votes.

That's a good point. The maximum number of poll choices should be able to be changed though so it shouldn't be too much of a problem, I'll ask about having it changed at some point. Thanks for pointing this out.

My vote this month goes to Dead Marsh Spectre. The facepaint and eyes are masterfully done, and the base is fantastic. Excellent work, sir!

Special Mentions go to Dave (Botwt) for Vrasku's skin tone, PowerofWill for the great banner conversion, and Wah Wing for the nicely unified color palette.

Beyond that, congratulations to everyone for making this a very difficult vote. You guys are too talented!

Managed to reach a decision finally. My vote went for draked for his very realistic style, great basing and overall nice, movie-like appearance. Well done! This was a tough one, I seriously considered several great entries.
