The warg looks great, and I must say the model is so nice as well
At least I now see it in different angles and not in one. I think all angles are important when I wanna buy a new mini

This warg really looks fantastic. :yay:
You've made the fur come alive.
Oh, and which colors did you use for the tongue.

But......, you forgot a spot on the base rim. :P  .
(first picture)

Looking forward to the next update.

Thanks.

For the tongue I used a basecoat of Mechrite Red and then added some Bleached Bone for the next highlight, adding more and more Bleached Bone for each highlight I did. The final highlight was about 50:50 Mechrite Red and Bleached Bone.

As for the black spot on the rim of the base, it scratched off while I was painting some of the warg, so I'll have to go over it later :P

It looks very good so far, nice work on the tongue!
I'm curious to see how this turns out, but I'm sure it will be grea! 8)

Long time no update!

Well the Orc Shaman has had nothing else done to him in a while, but I've recently acquired the Balins Tomb Diorama Base off of Hashut's Blessing so I'm going to try and work on this and the Fellowship of the Ring. First I'm going to work on getting the base itself completed, then I will start painting the Fellowship one-by-one (hopefully I will finish off the mounted Shaman in between at some point).

Here is the diorama base, based and undercoated:

Now to paint it...

Don't expect it to be finished too soon, the base itself shouldn't take me too long. But it takes me long enough to paint 1 mini, so it might be a little while before all 9 are finished ;)

And yes it does look fun to paint, in fact it was when I saw yours that I started looking for one of my own to work on :)

Sculpt one yourself Garmenhord.. Its an awful sculpt and a nightmare to paint, the indentations representing the ground are too shallow and a nightmare to shade and highlight and the footprints are hopeless you have to more or less paint them on. I'm sure you could do a better job sculpting it yourself. Sorry Jake back to your thread.

Are you going to start a poll then for the order you paint the fellowship?

I'm not sure yet, at the moment I still need to buy the 4 hobbits as I don't have the FotR sculpts for them. I'll probably start off with the one I'm expecting to be the most difficult to paint... Gandalf.

Invisible Frodo completed. I might work on a nice diorama base for it at some point seeing as it needs a good base to make it 'pop' due to not requiring any paint on the mini itself, but I have other projects to get on with for now so it'll have to wait.

hehe. I was thinking a small Weathertop diorama with some twilight Ringwraiths maybe? Still, I'll hold off until after the Sauron challenge.

That is the most realistic invisible Frodo ever!
Seriously, very nice base job Jake. :)
