Thanks Dave, glad you like them. I think this was the first time I've ever been happy with the way the eyes turned out on the first attempt.

Should finish this one tomorrow :)

Lurtz looks great! His face is really impressive! The hands and eyes turned out great! Well done!

I also like your Faramir a lot! Every time I see that Ragner-version of him I think it's time I paint mine aswell, but I never come to it...
The Minas Tirith warrior turned out excellent! The red fits them much better than I ever imagined! Well done, good risk, but nice result!

Thank you very much :)

Finished Lurtz now. I tried to keep him quite dark, but the cloth/leather looks darker in the last picture than it actually is. Either way I'm pleased with how he turned out, and after several months, I have finally completed a painting challenge entry :P

Hehe  :P

My Buhrdur is all prepped and ready for next months challenge. First though I'm going to try and get an Orc Shaman on Warg painted before the monster challenge begins. I like the model and I've had it sitting on the desk since release waiting for some paint, so he is also now prepped and I shall start him soon.

(I've already given up on getting the whole Gondor army painted up. The trouble is when painting more than one of any particular style of mini, I get bored after one or two. So I've decided to just go through my collection randomly painting models I like the look of :P )

Lurtz looks good!
Dark and dirty just like he should be.
My only critisism is the white hand, it looks a bit to clean for me.
(maybe a bit of bleached bone/kommando kaki?)

Why does that sound a bit familiar.....

looking forward to buhrdur.

I see what you mean... I've already given him a spray with a Matt Varnish, but I will make the white hand on the next Lurtz I paint dirtier (I have Lurtz with bow coming through the post that I intend on using with Uruk-Scout Archers).

UPDATE TIME.

I've been in a real painting mood since starting Lurtz, and have already made some good progress with the Orc Shaman on Warg. The Warg fur is finished and the base is finished (people ask me all the time why I don't do bases at the end, well basically I find that fixing an area where I've accidentally gotten paint on a finished base is much easier to do than fixing an area where I've gotten paint on a finished shoe or leg as you can easily glue a bit of grass over the top of it. Besides, if I'm careful enough, I usually don't get any paint on the base anyway).

I'm starting on the grey bits of the Wargs' legs and the Wargs' face now :) A very enjoyable mini to paint so far!

Excellent start on the Shaman. That mini has been on my wish list for a long time, but I've just never gotten around to purchasing him.

Thanks guys, appreciated 8)

Once the wargs face, paws and reins are finished I will post an update, although it depends on how good a picture I can take with no daylight as to whether it will be tonight or tomorrow morning that I take the pictures.

Not a big update. I haven't done much more painting on the Shaman in the last couple of days, but I've finished the eyes and the tongue of the warg and have gone over everything in Chaos Black that got paint on whilst painting the fur. Next up are teeth and skin highlights for the warg!
