4 days of voting left, 7 vote lead. So monsters should be the winner. But you never know what might happen...

You know, I went for monsters, but if it doesn't win I am still a winner because I can start my Terror of Arnor sooner then! LOL! :D

In case Command does come thru, just a couple questions to see how others interpret it.

1. For Infantry, would it be a Captain or Hero (as in a Legendary Formation's Command Company), plus Banner only or would a Horn/Drummer be required?
2. For Cavalry, would it be a Captain/Hero plus Banner, considering the horses make up the difference for one less model than Infantry?

I don't play War of the Ring so don't know exactly how command groups work in it, but I was thinking along the lines of; A Captain and a Banner Bearer (required) with an optional extra of a Hornblower/Drummer (as some people like myself only have the pre War of the Ring command groups of Captain and Banner Bearer). The same would go for mounted command, entrants would just have to bare in mind the extra work required in the same time limit if choosing a mounted command.

27 votes... that means we better get those 27 voters into the challenge aswell!
So, this means by the end of September we should theoretically have at least 27 finished monsters in one topic!!

And with this, I promise to take part since I voted aswell, heh...

That'd be a sight to see, 27 different monsters! So Bart, will it be an Ent from you? :)

Dunno yet Jake, I will most probably finish the Ent by the end of the year anyway, so this may be a good opportunity to force myself into painting another monster...

I have already undercoated a few monsters for a while now (trolls (plenty!), Gwaihir, 2 more Ents, Mumak, Gulavhar, Shelob and Spider Queen, and I still have 3 Fell Beasts, 3 Balrogs, 2 dragons/drakes (latest GW Lotr + Mithril), more trolls, 4 more Eagles and another Mumak laying around somewhere... :o
(oh no, why did I try to think about all this... )

My fault, I should never have asked :P

Would be nice to see a Gulahvar, it's still one of my favourite LOTR models to date.

I would love to paint him, if I only knew what colour would fit him best.
I've had him in my hands several times, but never made the conclusion in what colour to start.

Of all the painted ones I've ever seen around on the web, I love GW's version most of all. But... somewhere I think it doesn't match to give an evil creature such as him some snow-white wings...

I've seen green ones, purple ones, red ones, but I also prefer GW's scheme. I followed the GW scheme with mine that I painted a few years ago but I kept mine somewhat darker, with darker wings.
