I have finished painting my Aragorn, just need to base it and then it will be done. :)

Damnit Sacrilege. I was about to call mine finished, but now I have to get back to my brushes and add a ton of pesky little detail to have some chance against your awesome king.

LoL, it's funny how we push each other to the limit! Truth be told I never put much time into a model unless it's for The Painting Challenge! Brings out the best in us I guess. Take your time Ares, still have a week left.

Here is my entry. Sorry for the number of pictures but I wanted to show as much of the completed miniature as possible. I'm not overly happy with the eyes but I don't have a smaller brush at the moment to try again, I also think that the contrast on the trousers could be a little more subtle. Overall I'm happy with the results considering this is the first miniature I have painted in 25 years. Your comments and constructive criticism are welcomed.

Looking good. I really love the stubble effect.

Nicely done, and I know what you mean about those pesky eyes. I think they give most people problems.

Wah Wing I believe that you can continue to post new photos up until the end of the competition. Go ahead and post some more photos of your entry.

Well done to everyone. Awesome entries so far. With such great painting I am happy just to help make up the numbers. I've done the best I can with mine. Yes, I went overboard with the base, but heh - it was fun (I think I enjoy building terrain more than painting!). Piccs below.

Really well done! The NMM looks good, the shading is well done, the conversion looks great, the terrain is very cool and the detail on Boromir's bracers is excellent!

Nice work and a really crazy base job. Liked the little touch on Boromir's braces as well.

Alright then. Here are some better pics of my submitted Aragorn.

Comments and criticism please! I'm not so sure about his face. It's either his eye or the eyebrow that's wrong or both. What do you guys think? If the pics are too small I can make them a little larger if needed.

Some great entries! I don't think I stand high enough to take the win. Some very impressive painting. Good luck to all!

These are much better pics. I think you've done a fantastic job. Probably my favourite so far. Really great earthy tones. Love the work on the boots and leggings. Maybe the pupil in the right eye is a little big, but it makes him look wild eyed and ready for battle. I don't think its a big deal at all.

PS - thanks for the positive feedback on my entry guys. Hopefully I didn't make Aragorn look too much like Boromir
