High atop the peaks of the Rhun Mountains, amidst the swirling snows and howling winds, sat an old and mighty fortress.... the stronghold of the formidable Dragon Knights which housed one of the seven fabled Palantir. Many of the Palantir were believed to be lost forever, but indeed Sauron had attained several. One he kept in the Dark Tower of Barad Dur, another in the ghastly city of Minas Morgul, one was kept in the Tower of Orthanc and one he sent to the distant lands of Rhun, so he could communicate and watch over his allies in the east. The lords of the East put the Palantir under the protection of the Dragon Knights and their leader Amdur, the Easts finest soldiers....The Fortress from the side
