I think I'll call him a warg now. The light oak dipping varnish makes him a bit shiny, too bad I don't have matt varnish, but I'm okay with him.

Garmenhord - I love the conversion. You started with what appears to be a toy and have created a fearsome giant wolf, worthy of Morgoth. Well done!

Thanks! Yeah, it's the mane. The fur on his back and legs is less pronounced, it gets almost lost in the base color.

Yours reminds me a bit of a boar, but then I've probably been playing more WoW lately than is good for me. :) He looks mean and powerful, hapless mooks should think twice before charging him.

But I still feel sorry for the poor doggy, that got corrupted by torture and mutilation into this evil beast. You Morgoth.

I suppose if you want a bit more competition I might try and paint up a plastic Warg, though there's not many days left. Original wargs by you two though. :)

Four days is plenty. And thanks to the time zone difference you can extend it a few hours into July, too. :)

Because plastic shows none of the great innovation either of you have displayed. So I'll have to make it all up on the painting. Hmm, time to think...

Are werewolves wargish enough for you. Not that one would be ready in time anyway.

Haha, fair point. Well I'm definitely planning to enter, though I only have today and tomorrow left. I've begun work on a couple of subtle conversions just to help him stand out a bit more. Will get some pictures up soonish :)

Apologies for the double post.

I've spent 2 days doing conversion work and trialling test schemes only to have one of the arms fall off before I could even start painting. With midnight fast approaching, I must concede defeat. I mean I could cram but I don't really feel like all the stress and staying up all night to end up with a result that I can't even photograph properly given the lack of lighting. Sorry.

I think i gotta skip next challenge i think aragon is the next one? I had my hands on a metal boromir but no aragon. Maybe on the street markets.. if i am very lucky, i might find one.

That's still too late for my werewolf. If you extended it to halfway through July, then I'd take part.

Sorry, I haven't had the time to sit down and finish it unfortunately. Ah well, I'll take the extra time to get it looking how I want and then post it up in another thread.

Good luck to all participants.
