Wow 2012 was the last time I posted in here. Been on and off with the hobby over the past 3 years. No big projects until now however.
Out of the blue I'd decided to get myself a Mirkwood elf army. I originally was only going to get the captains for use as D&D characters, but decided to get some normal troops to actually battle with.
So far only two captains have been painted since I needed them for my buddy's elven ranger character in our campaign. Eventually I'll get the rest painted

Eyes are a bit funky, but they do for now. Under normal light they turn out alright. I must say I love the palace guard. They are very different from the other elven nations but still have a very elven feel to them.
My friend's character as he is in our campaign now. Once he gets some better armor later on I'll switch him out for the palace guard.
And finally I have on more little thing to show (also a bit D&D related)
We needed a new model for my other friend's paladin. I could never find a really good miniature to use for him so we just gave him some random heavy armored Rohirrim.
However, while looking around my spare minis one day, I found a very old Cirion model that I'd primed but never painted. He said he'd always pictured his character looking a bit like Robb Stark from the HBO Game of Thrones and Cirion's outfit had a bit of resemblance to Robb's.
So with a little green stuff and some paint, I turned Cirion into a Stark.
(sorry for the picture quality)
I went for the same look that Robb had in the early episodes of the first season of Game of Thrones. Dull browns and greys and of course the fur cloak.
I did keep the White Tree so he can still be used in a Gondorian (or Arnorian) force though.
I'll have some more stuff up very soon. I'm in the middle of a hobby spree right now so paint and glue is flying. Some men of the White City will be coming up!
Cheers!
