Hey,

I want to start a Harad army, but I really dont know what kind of minis I should get. I already figured out that I need a box of Warriors of Harad, but what are other good models?

thanks, Kiliaan

Let's see
Cavalry: Haradrim raiders or Serpent raiders
Posion power: Watchers of Kharna or Hasharin

The best is to take along with Haradrim warriors some raiders...( Serpent raiders just have +1 F as Serpent guard do)
Also watchers of Kharna are a good choise for elite warriors and a Hasharin as both warrior and hero is too handy...
Hope this helps you... 8)

Get Dalamyr, i swear to god he is the most ridiculously good hero ever.

I played a game recently involving a tower garrisoned with about 16 warriors of minas tirith with bow, im not joking, he and a hasharin cleared the whole thing out. He can't be surrounded, has smoke bombs, gets to re roll failed wounds, can practically never be shot, has 3 attacks, too much will and too much fate. I know he isn't harad but oh my god he is the most annoying model ever. You would assume he is "anti hero" but he really isnt, he's equally as capable of cutting through hordes of warriors. Half trolls are also very nice (despite their pathetic courage). If you're mad enough to splash out on dalamyr and a hasharin then you have a rather deadly hit force but you will have to be smart with the contents of you're front line to make sure you dont get destroyed.
Something like this would work:

Dalamyr 100pts
corsair captain 50pts
bo'sun with crossbow 50pts
18 harad warriors (6 with bow, 12 with spear) 108
24 corsairs (8 with each different equipment option) 192

Total: 500pts, 5 might, 45 models, 15 bows

The most effective way to start a Harad army would be to get a box of Harad Warriors, a box of Haradrim Raiders, and a Hero of some sort. I would recommend a Haradrim King to begin with. After you've got all that, there's several options; you could get some elites (such as as Serpent Guard and Watchers of Karna), or some Corsairs, or some Mahud.

Thanks for all the help :) I'll start by picking up my box of harad warriors and then buy raiders and a hero a bit later (I don't have enough money to buy it all at once :)). Btw, I suppose that you mean the Haradrim Chieftan as the King? I can't see a Harad King on GW's website.

That's strange. The model now called a Haradrim Chieftain used to be a Haradrim King. I don't know whether they changed the name of if it's just a mistake.

No they just share the same appearance like ranger of gondor and rangers of arnor...

Start with a box of warriors and some raiders, you may need another box of warriors as 50% are archers which is quite impractical. Heroes, I'd start with a command blister and a harad king blister and then perhaps a hasharin and Suladan once you've got some more troops.

@suicidalMB, About dalamyr, I have to disagree. He is a beast when supported and not against too many models. His problem is lack of might and low FV so you can't let him go on attempted crazy rampages. He can't heroic combat really and he can't heroic move much either to get him out of tough positions and with 3 dice, it's only about 50% chance you'll get a 6 and then he'll be getting a lot of hurt even without trapped dice and 3 fate. Also, he can easily be butchered by a decent hero like a twin who costs 30 points less and has will enough to weather out smoke bombs.

Thanks everyone :) I know enough for now, because I can't buy too fast. I'll probably first buy the warriors with command blister and add some of my orcs to learn to play with the harads :)

@spuds4ever i see you're point but the re-rolls on all failed wounds really annoy me, if using anything but dwarves and he wins the fight against a 2 wound hero, the hero is guranteed to die, he will probably do 3 wounds and even if you resist with fate next turn the guys dead, i think that would apply even to a twin. Also the twins cant really have a nice big horde of pirates with throwing daggers backing them up unlike dalamyr, who would likely survive against a twin in one round of combat and, although weakened his pirates can throw their knives, maybe wound and then dalamyr could do a smoke bomb and by the end of the fight phase fathers day would be ruined for elrond...

Still i understand your point, its all about what army you are including the model in that counts.
