 That is a mighty big spider.... I've looked at him myself as a possibility, so large and detailed, and he doesn't cost that much. As the others have said, nice painting, and fast! :yay:

P.S. You might want to add 'pic heavy' to the title of this thread, just to let those who have slow internet know what they're getting into. :)

You are abit addicted to washes but what does it matter if they looks fantastic :P

Very cool work but what are you going to do with the large hole on the spiders base?

Keep it up.

Washes are the best thing since sliced bread :D I've painted 2 armies for 40k with mainly washes.

And will cover it up with something, probably a piece of slate when I do the rest of his base :)

Hi Dezartfox, a nice army you've got there! Loving the spiders. Are you going to mount the spiders on slabs of rock, since they are slightly larger than the 40mm bases.

Seeing your finished spiders has confirmed it for me that I'll get some for myself.

Not much on the LOTR side of the hobby unfortunately :(

BUT. I got to see the new Orcs and Gobbos GIANT SPIDER thing.
So naturally I will be getting one for my Spider army and using it as either a dragon or cave drake :)

Glad to hear that you will be doing so more LotR stuff. i saw your storm raven on B&C the other day and it was totally epic so well done.
I'm looking forward to some updates.

Very nice spider army. I understand you plan on having the humungous spider count as a cold drake? Very cool idea. Who makes the humungous Spider?

Nice work, although I don't think they fit in with Lotr models.

PS: Any progress on your Necrons?

No progress on the Spiders at the moment as they've been living at GW out back in the nooks and crannies ;)
They got pretty squished in a 300pt game against a black numernorean (spelling?) list lead by dark marshall.. -1 courage making the spiders really bad at combats...

Not much time for hobby recently due to Uni work.. but I like to do something now and then:

Gimli with elven cloak, and his personal bodyguard of 18 Khazad guard = 298pts :)
