I had the though of starting a Mordor army. I'd aim for 2000 points, and figured that a list could be made up of The Gorgoroth Horde, The Gothmog Orcs Battlehosts, as well as either 'The Winged Nazgul' host or The host that features 4-8 formations Mogul Knights. For close to the same price as The Winged Nazgul host, you can have 4 formations of Morgul Knights led by a mounted Nazgul. So...which is more effective in the game? A formation of 4 M.Knights with a Wrraith, or Nazgul? I can see what seem to be advantages ether way. For example, the Morgul Knights would have ablative wounds to loose, whereas the Nazgul are faster, have no facing, and strike as monsters. Which have you found to be more effective?

The Wraith Battlehost in 1500 points (5 wraiths and 1 company of morannons with a 50 point fate) are a very viable option competitively - in fact I faced that in the final game of the WotR UKGT2010 and it had 4 wins out of 4 games until then. They're effective in both versions, just depends how you play them.

it is super deadly, but you would need a bit of practice on how to use them right

I've gone for the mounted option, that is 'The Knights of Morgul' battlehost, plus Gorgoroth Horde and GothMog's Orcs. I've gone for the horses because I like the imagery more, ad although I'm not massively familiar with the game mechanics and what works, it seems like having those tough ol' horses with D7 and R2 and a lot of ablative wounds could be at least as good as a HTK beast (or VHTK if you take the winged Nazgul Battlehost). Also I dunno how much fun it is to have four deathstars zooming around while the rest of the army stands on the sidelines.
pPerhaps I could have a bit of both, something mroe balanced. If I take Morgul Knights (Common choice for Mordor if you take The Dark Marshall) or winged Nazgul i don't HAVE to take 'em as a host after all. I could take out Goth's Orcs and throw in some beasty power in its place, perhaps a Nazgul or Bahrdur. I MUST have gothmog in my army somewhere though, coolest. Orc. Ever! And I love the idea of him leading the gorgoroth Horde.
I'm looking forward to painting up those Morgul Knights in any case (Like the models, looks like an easy paint job), and getting my mighty legion of Mordor under way!
