Taking shape very nicely. I am one for making suggestions where I can but you seem to have all bases covered. The only thing is the sloping roof above the door. The section of roof doesn't touch the chimney. Will the tiles cover this ? If so no problem
It's only a small point but it would mean rain falling on you as you stand at the door...only if it was raining though...

Yep, the tiles will cover all the holes, tapes and mistakes..i know that there should be one pilar at the center of the stairs and also at the right side of the lower door. I didnt but pilars there because my friends who play with me are known to have glumsy fingers so i tried to minimalize everything that will easily break off..=)

Playability is the key thing in my projects...

:OYou eye for detail is so good this looks as good as Weta stuff. It would be so cool to play on a table like this.

Keep it up

Your work is detailed and full of interesting nooks and crannies. The 'boring' bits are just a simple consequence of construction - there is no way around it.

The roof and doors on that building are absolutely amazing, brilliant work JCoo. Very detailed. I look forward to seeing more.

Im currently finishing the interiors of the houses and i ques that after that the painting starts. There is also few details i have to work on before i even start to think about paints...im also quite enthusiastic about the start of the board itself so that could slow down the paintjob...

Im not quit sure how im going to paint those houses. Theres a lot of balsa and i think that the key to success is to get those balsas right...have to think about it and try different methods..i open to all suggestions concerning the paintjob!!

I will post new pictures on sunday...

Awesome stuff. The attention to detail no matter how small is astounding. I am very impressed.

Ok, i promised some updates so here it goes!!!

Started the interior work, here is some balsa work on the upper and lower levels of the bar:

Image

Image

Here is merchants house and its new stonetile floor. I think that the paintjob will make the floor even better looking:

Image

I also added stonetiles on the stairs, some poles for the future railing and bars underneath the stairs. Now the merchant can store stuff under the stairs without worrying about thieves.

Image

Image

I think that at the moment i have enought hexes so i can start building the harbor..

Image

Thats all folks, critics and suggestions are welcome!!!

The interior looks great. Well done. I love the little extra bits you do to make it special like the bars. It might have been asked before but will it be getting a sea part on the hexes?

Garmenhord: I sleep at work!

Started to cut foam to the board:

Image

Image

Image

Theres going to be 6 cm of foam on top of the hardboard. I want to have variation as much as i can between the high and the low points (i hope that you understand what i mean). The cutting itself succeeded pretty well and i think that the caps between the hexes will be quite small...
