Just wondering because I am thinking of starting and was curious about how hard they are to paint vs 25-28mm minis.

Arrrggghh you're a madman! How dare you concede to paint 6mm figs! They will be the end of you, I say!

From a mathematical aspect, painting a 6mm figure would be nearly 5 times harder than painting a 28mm, since 28/6 = 4.6666...

:P

It's actually a lot faster, since you don't do any detail, just blobs of color. But I wouldn't use them for the skirmish game. Might look cool for WotR though :)

Haven't conceded yet, was just considering. The mass effect is quite neat and the dont take up much space, which is always a plus.

I have a heap of 6mm (1:300 scale) modern stuff, well modern up to about 2000 really. Most of the painted stuff was done for operation Desert Storm, so sandy colours predominate. Aircraft are more varied in colour - I have a lot of those, including helicopters. It is a mixture of Scotia and Skytrex stuff with some 1:285 scale minis from a US manufacturer who name I cannot remember right now.
Unfortunately everything is stored rater inaccessibly at present and I am also having trouble with my Imageshack/Photobucket accounts so I cannot post any pics for a while.

Wow, I have a number of 10mm figures and i was just looking at them on the weekend wondering how on earth I was going to paint them - they're so small.

6mm? Insane!

a little late but.......I use 6mm(Baccus) for HoTT Campaigns & also for various C&C Battles.
The mass effect is great & painting is very easy(ok getting the eye pupils is a bitch)compared
to 28+mm stuff as you don't have details-I do a wash for shade & highlight but that's it.
