I think you just roll a dice see what the number is, lets say its "4" that means that target takes 4 wounds which means you roll 4 times on the battering chart?

Well yes but i mean after the roll. 4 wounds ok so 4 rolls. If i THEN score a 4 on the batter chart would THAT cause 1 or 2 wounds?
