So iam about to get a ent for my elves but iam not sure witch version. I could get the metal one that isnt sold anymore ( at least in germany) at the same price as the plastic one. So iam much more for metal models and at this price anyway but iam still not sure about what design looks more realistic ( as far as a walking tree can be :-D

)

Get one of ukfb's tree men, they have alot of character and are metal to boot! The only reason not to is if your planning on going to a tournament, then you will want an official GW ent.

If there can only be one my choice will have to be the "official" Plastic ent even though it would not make it to my top ten favorites

The metal one looks more Tolkienish so I like that one more... although the plastic one is not soo bad either still I think that Metal one would look coooler on the table top... :rofl:

IMO, the metal one is more "realistic". The plastic one has more customization but it looks a bit too "un-treeish" with no branches or leaves and basically completely symetrical and smooth.

but i vote for that you have to take it alone... seriously... i dunno both are sorta cool..

That's the point. I like how they are just the double height of the metal ones but i dont like how they look so human-like.

Anyway thank's guys for all your comments and votes they really helped. So i think ill go for the metal one... A bonus is that hes about to become a rarity.

ya, metal one will soon be OOP if it isnt already.

however, i don't think that the plastic one is as bad as people make out. i bought one, and think its great. not sure if its £18 worth of great, but i don't think its as lacking in detail as has been said many times, if not in this thread than others. it just represents a different type of wood.

oh, and it also has two dead orcs, which is good.
