fantastic stuff. going back to your cool dragon conversion from the Beasts & Beings magazine, what a great idea! i have this model also (somewhere). The plastic appears as if it would be quite brittle and i was wondering how did you remove the egg so neatly ?

Really nice Dave, I've got a few of these to do myself plus the one that Natarn made and was wondering on your colours of choice, I am thinking you have been using primarily grays and then staining with greens is that close?

@BizarreWarstar - The dragon is resin, which is why it is quite brittle. I cut the arm off at the elbow to make removing the egg easier. I cut out most of the egg with a fine saw, then used needle files to remove the rest between the fingers. Once done, I glued the arm back on again and tidied up with putty. 8)

@Tidoco - Yes that's pretty much it. I did a full breakdown of the paint stages (with pictures!) on the previous page of this thread but I guess you missed it.

@JTV - Just got the two riders. I will also make 6 of my own, convert a mounted banner bearer, and a King of the dead. I foolishly traded my spare King away a while back though so I will need to get another one from somewhere.

I've converted the remaining 16 warriors. Once I've puttied up the gaps I'll post some pics before I paint them.

Great job, I really like how the highlights were put on these - makes them look more ancient. Keep it up!

Very 'ghosty' ;) I like how you escaped from usual green scheme. I love the paintjob on banner bearer ;)

Feeling kinda low today fella's. Lost two of my colleagues in a fire last night in a high rise just 1 mile from my house. I really feel for their wives and young children. T'is a sad day for the fire service. :(

Wonderful work on the conversions, Dave. They look very nice and I'm sure they add great variety to an Army of the Dead.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. My dearest condolences and sympathies go out to you and their families. Hoping you're starting to feel better, and always know that everyone at OR is here to support you. Hope things start to feel better, Dave. :)
