eDylan: It amuses me that you say you hate "that model". Use a different one, lol :D There are plenty of Boromir models that would be accepted and I would guess even Warriors (or Captains etc) would be too.

Personally, I'm not fond of the ent because there is a limit to the creativity of paintscheme that is viable, but that's just my taste.

On top of that, I happen to not have the money to buy an ent, lol.

That raises an interesting question: what would be the alternative entries allowed for ents? Other than Huorns and scenery (including Black-hearted trees), lol :D

thats what the sceptics said about the nazgul challenge too, but all entries were unique and a lot of them very original.

Oi, I don't want to paint another... of course, I do have Treebeard still in his box.

It's not that I'm sceptical, just not sure how many versions of an Ent you can Ent: with the Ringwraith, you can do different coloured blades, edging, inner cloaks, eerie glows, eyes, models with different areas to then paintin different colours (like a dark Marshal could have a green-inked metal or a gold-rusted metal and would look VERY different)... It was just me saying I can't think of how to paint them up all that differently...

As for alternative models, it wasn't that I meant alternative Ents, so much as Alternatives to Ents. E.G. With Haldir, it could be armoured, unarmoured, any model in a cloak with armour, any elf in cloak etc etc. With this, I can see it being Ents and maybe Stone Giants...

Voted Boromir just to keep the competition between him and an ent tight. :-)

I would be happy to paint anything form this list.

I don't know if I'm jumping the gun here (I have a bad feeling about that Saruman fella making a last ditch charge!) but I just bought my Ent! And not one of those ridiculous jokes offered by GW either (though the Treebeard model ain't too bad) but one of the fine offerings from MBM. I recommend a visit if you haven't already been there. I have a feeling that Dave and the Southampton Post Office are going to get pretty busy soon once this poll wraps up. When does voting finish by the way?

The poll should have finished yesterday as stated in the original post by Erunion, so theoretically Ent should be the winner by two votes.

Oh, and one Ent is on it's way to you Andrew. 8)

I don't have an Ent... Seems that I'll have to skip this month.

Yes! :D

I'm going to go ahead and purchase GW's plastic Ent, as I have big plans for him along with the Painting Challenge. Should be an awesome challenge! :)

I'll be getting some money soon so I think I'll go knocking on Dave's door and order an ent, the Williow one looks lovely, or if it's permited I'll order a Giant to paint up.

Hope buisness starts booming UKFB.

Yours

Cal

Dang. Chances are, that I am most likely out of this one. I was really looking forward to it, since I was too busy last month to enter. Oh well, just got to see the alternatives and hope, eh?

I'm not crazy over the GW generic Ent, and had the thought of scratch-building my own.

a) Would I be able to enter it in the contest?

b) If so, what is the base size of an Ent?

Thanks!
