Went to a GW for 3rd time in my life today, and came home with this little dude:

Took less than two hours to assemble, convert, & prime the whole thing. The cadians are a couple of conversion victims I buffed up, and the ruined wall is a piece from the Basicilia Administratum set that I hacked up.

C&C welcome, I hope to get some paint on these dudes in the next few days. :)

P.S. Grandparents surprised me with a camera! The pic is bad because of the lighting, though :(

I'm heavily debating the color scheme. Black for the main body & either blue, grey or white for the helmet, hands, etc. is my favorite idea right now. But I'm open for suggestions 8)

Is this the beginning of an army? If so, I would choose one of the Craftworlds and paint the Wraithlord in its color scheme. Because all the Eldar Aspect Warriors have unique uniforms, it really helps to have a strong Craftworld theme to tie the army together visually.

Biel-tan and Ulthwe were my favorites, still are really. Nice work - keep us updated!

Thanks guys :)

This may end up eventually being part of a small (500 pt) Eldar army, but its main purpose right now is for me to submit in the 2010 State Fair of Texas, in the Creative Arts & Crafts building. I've been doing this contest for the last few years, last year my Breaking of the Fellowship entry with Boromir fighting off the Uruks won red (2nd place). Year before that I got 2nd as well. So I'm entering again, with this.

I'll work on it a little bit after breakfast, and try and get some pics up then--providing we don't get more rain :(

Wonderful work so far, Anduril! I love the mini-diorama you've come up with here. :)

The miniature is now aprox. 75% finished.

Some of the highlights on the black are too thick, so I will go back and go over parts of them with Chaos Black later.

I worked for quite a while to get all the gems done, I put my estimate at between 1 1/2 to 2 hours spent on the gems. :) However, I do plan on touching up the red ones, but the blue ones are finished.

The cadians have been taken off to make it easier to reach parts of the Wraithlord.

Hope you like, C&C welcome :)

BTW sorry again for the sideways pics, I'm guessing there's a motion sensor of sorts in the camera that automatically takes a sideways pic at certain angles. Strange :?
